Nice. Lots of random super cool shit this year to go along with the I'm not interested. I got to go to lunch, but I'll check into it later.
Off the top:
Excision Kevin Gates A$AP Rocky Dog Blood GRiZ $uicideboy$ Playboi Carti Toro Y Moi J.I.D Ekali Death Grips Black Madonna Denzel Curry Yaeji G. Jones Liquid Stranger Papadosio Mersiv rico Nasty
Dashboard Confessional and Mayday Parade there for anyone who wants to relive their Warped Tour years. Also From First To Last DJ set....whatever that's supposed to be. Maybe Sonny will make an appearance since he's already there performing as Dog Blood

I have seen Dashboard Confessional live in the early aughts, and it was not good. That being said, every time I hear their name I hear their song in my head.
Your hair, it's everywhere. Screaming infidelities And taking its wear.
Also, isn't one of them related to someone in another band? I thought I heard/knew that before but can't find anything about it now.

There's some other random shit like that on the lineup too. We Came as Romans is sort of in that vein. Buku 2018 showed that y'all's generation is okay with some of your earlier rock shit mixed in when A Day to Remember played. I think they were experimenting and figuring everyone here is going to know all their songs anyway. And it worked great.
Papadosio is one of my favorite mid-level bands to see these days, and they'll probably close the Ballroom one night or at least be a late set.
Lana played once before I think, but I didn't see the set. Hopefully Kevin Gates will stay out of jail between now and then and be able to perform. He's pretty much chaos, and it's going to be ratchet. But that will be a highlight set for sure.
But overall, this is probably one of the more unique lineups I've seen in a while for a smaller festival. I'll give them credit for that even though I don't know if they have any adds coming later or not. I've seen a lot of these acts and don't know a bunch of them well at all.
Seen - A$AP Rocky, Skrillex, Excision, GRiZ, RL Grime, Louis the Child, $uicideboy$, NGHRME & Slander (but not b2b), Claude Vonstroke, Toro Y Moi, Ekali, Denzel Curry, G Jones, Liquid Stranger, Tokimonsta, Papadosio, CHARLESTHEFIRST, AF the Naysayer and some of the local shit.
Looking forward to seeing that I haven't: Dog Blood, Kevin Gates, Death Grips, Black Madonna, J.I.D, Yaeji, Earthgang, We Came as Romans, From First to Last, Mersiv, Jantsen.
I'll have to research most of the other shit, but I can easily make 2 fun days out of this lineup. Maybe Excision will get a night show at the Joy. I'd see him twice that weekend if I could

Haha. You know I'm not a big house fan (not saying that's what she does; kind of her own electronic thing), but I've seen a couple of streams of Black Madonna doing shows in Europe, and I can have fun there. You have mentioned Yaeji more than once, so it's definitely something I'm going to figure on seeing at least some of her. I know very little, but I know who she is and what she does.
I just cant get over how much they nailed the EDM for my tastes. They absolutely nailed it. FFTL DJ set though? Isn't that just called "Skrillex"?
Says it’s Matt & Travis on the version that doesn’t have photos. I’m assuming they are band mates?
Haha I guess, I just wonder how many "dj sets" they have done (under FFTL). Skrill is my guy though so I'd be excited to see him pop up on during as many performances as possible. I'm just excited to get RL Grime, Griz, Dog Blood, The Black Madonna, Liquid Stranger, and 1788-L on the same lineup.
I didn’t count acts, but local writer Keith Spera said:
“A number of additional Buku artists will be announced. The roster so far includes...”
Secondary releases (quantity of acts as well as ranking) have been random over the years. I assumed this was most of the lineup already. Some years were phases. Others had only a few late adds in January. RTJ, Grizmatik and others have been announced late and also undercard acts. So I don’t really know where we stand or if there are some other name acts maybe Goldenvoice is letting one of its other festivals announce.
put death grips in the float den and i will buy a ticket immediately
There is a limited loyalty holdback of Tier 1 priced tickets available tomorrow at 10:00CDT with presale code TOOBUKU2019. Tier 2 comes online next Tuesday. Taxes and fees will add up so +/- 15% more. You can also do layaway. Base prices starting Tuesday are:
GA - 185 GA+ - 285 VIP - 385 VIP 21+ - 485 Too Buku - 650
VIP or GA plus is recommended as they give you prime/front viewing access in Float Den and and Main Stage and then you get balcony for Ballroom and then a VIP only stage which I can’t remember if GA+ gets to go to that or not.

You're making me proud.
Read esteban's post and was about to say the exact same thing.
Esteban the Black Madonna is typically so groovy I think you'll have a great time at her set. I know you like the funky stuff, and coming from the Midwestern US DJ school she plays a lot of acid stuff that is wild and fun.
