The difference in lines of dialogue between games is staggering. I don't think it's this video, but in another, he mentions that this also looks to be one of if not the biggest map in a console game ever with every location from RDR plus new stuff.

Haven't played a game extensively since Friday the 13th, I'm hyped. RDR is one of my fav games of all time, I'm just scared Take Two/Rockstar will ruin online by making it pay-to-enjoy like GTA V.

So much has changed since I last played video games (other than Madden and 2K). Everything is obviously better, except that when I watch a trailer for a game, it's like it's for the movie of the game. I just want to see what I'm going to see while I'm playing the thing. I just watched the street fighter V video and it showed a blackout in some fictitious major city. Then it showed Guile with the worst haircut of all time with him looking at a picture of his old self or something. What's going on? I don't care about that. I did a little digging on what games are good and just downloaded Bloodborne for like 12.99. Should I play it online or not? I think I just want to play the game through first, right? I'm behind.

Have you played a Dark Souls game before? Those games, and Bloodborne, are incredibly hard. You'll definitely want to get some reps in before you do any PvP. Even if you've played Dark Souls, the combat is different.
I had Bloodborne and I sold it. I barely played it it was so hard.

So Friday the 13th is good? It's free right now.
Bloodborne is good but difficult at first. You can do solo for it and eventually play with others online but don't need to.
There are recommendations to rush through the first level and get to a certain point where you are bound to die but that lets you start to level up your characters skills and don't forget to repair your weapons. I didn't do those things originally and had a hard time until finding out about that.
Friday 13th seems fun but I'm not as used to it. You might as well get it. All PS plus games are worth getting even if you don't download it because then they are tied to your account and you can re download them at any time as long as u still have PS plus.
Friday the 13th game let's you either play as Jason or one of a few campers. If a camper you have to survive or escape by doing a number of things and working together. Haven't played as Jason yet but the goal there is kill people

Co-worker of mine told me to try bloodborne first as it's maybe not as bad as dark souls but yea....steep learning curve. Takes planning and a lot of learning by failure.
I'd also recommend last of us, uncharted (any of them but 2 rocks), and rocket league.

Bloodborne is a game that the creators I think said you are supposed to look online for how to beat it and progress. They wanted a community to build up around the strategy of the game.
But I never really did that, so I just lost interest. There are the little clues around if you're online, but they're usually super esoteric.

Yea, I just remember having so much trouble getting past the first part and then my co-worker being like "Oh, just run past all those early guys and get to the boss of that first level. He'll probably kill you but then you resurrect and are able to gain XP/level up and stuff". Then I figured out I needed to repair my weapons and I felt like an idiot because it was taking me so many hits to kill enemies until I got those things done.
It's still tough because you get surprises popping out and have to learn the attacks and timing of every different enemy. But knowing that early stuff helped me get past it and not quit the game out of frustration

Thanks for all this. You all are right, it's very difficult. I messed around and watched some dude beat the game in thirty minutes online and I don't know if it makes me want to play it more or less. Basically, you only have to kill the bosses and a handful of other things. He jumped through some things that looked like glitches but I'm not really sure. I never really want to get that into it, especially if I'm going to go in on Red Head 2. If I never play it again, I guess 12.99 was cheaper than a night out at the bar. That's how I'm going to look at it. I'd say I'll try it again but who knows. I have the uncharted that came with the ps4 a few Christmases ago and battlefront one. Are both of those easier and worth playing?

So it lets you resurrect at the first boss after you die and you don't have to go through all that stuff again?

I had so much fun playing it. Haven't picked it up in a while, but I logged a solid 60+ hours. The game was a bit glitchy, but the core gameplay really appealed to me.
I'm still playing GTA online lol, I haven't played a story mode in forever though (Bioshock infinite) and this game looks like the perfect one
I've actually been playing a lot of GTA online prepping for this. I haven't gotten that far yet, but the whole concept of buying clubs/booking real DJ's is wild. Once I stop running around trying to kill the other players then I might actually make some progress. One of those flying cars would be nice.

Honestly GTA online is way more fun when you're just running around killing people. It's such a grind to get all the cool shit and it's really not fun. When I actually started to care about getting money I began to really hate the game with a passion. A lot of times the cool shit really isn't the worth the hours you put into getting it either. I find the game is more fun when I'm just messing around in GTA races or whatever
