I went ahead and preordered it week or two ago after saying I was thinking about it in the Video Games thread. I think @jonesjupiter has as well. I haven't preordered a game in years, but the premise and the early reviews pushed me over the edge. If you get bored, this guy (www.youtube.com/user/LegacyKillaHD/videos) has been doing well summarizing every bit of update that is posted about it.

What system will you be playing on?
PS4. Probably won't end up on online right when it comes out because I don't carry PS Plus generally. Online games have never really clicked with me due to time constraints, but I am willing to give it a shot if I hear positive things.

I'm still playing GTA online lol, I haven't played a story mode in forever though (Bioshock infinite) and this game looks like the perfect one

I've actually been playing a lot of GTA online prepping for this. I haven't gotten that far yet, but the whole concept of buying clubs/booking real DJ's is wild. Once I stop running around trying to kill the other players then I might actually make some progress. One of those flying cars would be nice.

Yeah I just read that. Do you have anymore info about Red Dead online? Didn't even realize that was a thing.
It's supposed to be like GTA online but Western essentially. They haven't really revealed much but beta is for PS4 only and starts at the end of November. Expect it to be like GTA online where it took forever to load and crashed frequently at the beginning. I'm assuming you'll be able to customize your horse and character and probably can start a gang and maybe buy some land or something

The conventional wisdom I have heard is that they're calling it a beta rather than opening it as RDR Online because they expect problems coming out of the gate. Rockstar has been pretty quiet about it but have made a couple statements that it will be like GTA Online but not. I think the tone of it will be a lot more subdued since GTA Online is somewhat cartoony at times with what you can do, but, like you, I think customization, group robberies and land purchasing would be pretty much expected.

Haven't had a great session in GTA online since the first days trying it. I just really couldn't stand the loading taking forever, trying to fill a lobby, trying to do an event or heist with people who bail or just sabotage it. Plus all the people who have armored tank cars and explosives just destroying me all the time.
Might load it back up at some point. I had fun fucking around with people on there but didn't get to really do too many actual missions or events.
Planning on playing RDR online a bunch. Unless the loading is shit again lol

Where are you seeing this on Reddit? The last I saw had it as 105 GB to install for the 55 GB file with a 3.3 GB Day One patch.
