You joke, but I am interested to see how their idea of relationships with NPCs work out. From what I have watched, they have established relationships between NPCs where you have potential consequences for murdering randos. Murder an outlaw's brother, and he may come after you and such. Also, I saw that if you overhunt in an area, the animals may die out/flee and it will take an extended period for them to come back to the area. I love that the natural flow for this in YouTube comments is for people to ask if a town will repopulate if you murder everyone in the town.

I've also read that if you help people you can get stuff in return. This guy helped a guy that had been attacked by wildlife and he ended being a blacksmith in a nearby town so he got free weapons
I'm thinking I might play through both ways. Black hat might be more fun but harder
Both ways will probably have their pluses and minuses. I am sure there are some items that won't be accessible altogether or without a bunch of work (why work for it when you can just shoot the person and take it) if you play white hat, but there will be those bonuses you miss out on if you go black hat.

The bounty system is what is throwing me off from being a bad guy. It looks like the bounty stays on the entire game and NPCs will chase you and remember you. That's only if you're seen though

In college I was playing through Infamous and I was all the way blue/good guy and after my roommate played it for like two hours I was all the way red/bad guy and I never recovered.

It's too big to download in my opinion. I'm just going to get the physical game. I like that better anyways. Maybe I can "Trade" with a friend like the old days.

You know a download is legit when they open preloading a week ahead of time. I went for physical discs as well (it's two discs if you didn't know btw). The bonus of downloading is you can play it right at midnight on Friday whereas I'll have to wait until the mail runs and I download the day one patch. I'm not in a huge rush though, so I'll be fine.

Sounds like an exciting Friday night for some folks!!! To be fair I don't go out on weekends cause there's too many rookies, but I'm not about to start a game that will likely consume me at midnight. I'd play it all night and ruin my weekend.
Dang this game is gonna be wild. I'm for sure naming my horse Silver. Also I'll be studying the predatory habits of crocodiles and wolves if y'all need me.
