That's a great mock. Yuma selections look a little light on Friday and too stacked on Saturday, but otherwise very solid.
Thanks! I think I’ll make a spread sheet with stages to make it more balanced. Yuma acts were a little hard to place just because in the past they don’t get up to the 3rd line (aside from Cirez D). Making a full and realistic lineup is fun but also challenging.

Take my $500 (ugh, stupid shuttle pass!)
Shuttle pass the week of the fest for $30 or less, save the cash
Good mock overall, a little stacked but they always are this early. A couple thoughts:
-Didn't Squarepusher play to essentially nobody in 2015 as a 4th line act? Why would they bring him back five years later as a high third line act as the fest has trended more and more mainstream?
-Doubt Real Estate come back, heard the 2017 show didn't go over well
-PUP and IDLES I believe would be higher than second to last row bookings, but maybe I'm wrong
-Think The Raconeuteurs would probably either play as 3rd-4th billed on their day or not at all. Honestly would probably replace them with a KROQ act (Foster the People maybe)
-Think Megan Thee Stallion and Cupcakke will be a lot higher come January
-Erykah Badu a second liner or not playing IMO. Dua Lipa sub or nothing as well IMO

Appreciate the feedback. Squarepusher was my rare electronic act. I didn’t know about the 2015 set. I just saw a recent show of his on YouTube and it looked absurd. I think Plastikman is more realistic. I’ll switch that out. I’m gonna swap real estate with deerhunter. I can move up Idles and PUP. I struggle with the indie rock bands. What do you think about Cage the Elephant instead of The Raconteurs? Yeah Megan thee stallion’s album is getting a lot of good press. Cupcakke can get bumped up too, but I feel like that depends how the year goes for her. Erykah Badu could be the first name on the 3rd line or last name on the second. I’ll shift it around. I’m starting to think Dua might not get a spot. Might need some new material. But if she does come out with some more hits than she will sub. I just chose her instead of Halsey.
Thoughts on the mock: I'd love that line up overall. I think some artists are way too high or low on the line up though. Also think it's missing a few "surefire" bookings like RTJ. Coldplay is still probably the biggest band any festival could book. Even in 2020. They haven't played Coachella since 2005 and they've only gotten tons bigger since then. Their crowd would be Beyonce big. Frank Ocean + Rihanna + Coldplay would be too stacked to be true though.
Not sure what they'd bring from a big splash perspective for Coachella to book them.
Same thing Eminem brought. No big splash but huge crowds.
Not a particularly good comparison imo. With Em, at least it was his first time at the fest, and he brought the promise of guests. You get neither with Coldplay. They ain’t playing next year.

Coldplay would be just as likely to bring out a guest as literally every other headliner.

I blanked on RTJ. What are the some artists billed too high or too low that’s obvious?
Coldplay was just a curious idea. I really wanted to see how people would react to them coming back.

Coldplay has collabs with Rihanna , Beyonce, Big Sean, The Chainsmokers, Pharrell.. and they really don't need guests. They haven't played since X&Y, so Coachella never got anything from Viva La Vida, Mylo Xyloto and beyond so it'll be strong majority material that Coachella never got. Are we really going to underestimate Coldplay here? Lol, they would have a larger crowd than Rihanna and I would put money on that. But it's unlikely they both land on the lineup. It's just that their crossover appeal is nuts, I know so many people who don't even like rock music in general but they LOVE and adore Coldplay.

Too High: Daddy Yankee (at best he's end of 2nd but even then that's a stretch, think he's 3rd line. He's re-surging now but he's not on Bad Bunny/Balvin level anymore to be that high), Alessia Cara (3rd line), FKA Twigs (end of 2nd or first name on 3rd)
Too Low: Erykah Badu, Joji, The Midnight.. mostly people who could be bumped up one line so I won't bother listing too many

No point in an extended debate on Coldplay of all bands - a band that I shamelessly loved through Viva La Vida - so I’ll just say I would be pretty damn surprised to see them on the lineup. It's certainly not impossible, but I don't know what the point would be.
