Oso Oso and Prince Daddy & the Hyena just announced a joint tour in March in the east coast midwest. Jade said "be patient, more dates coming" when people asked on twitter.
Doubt either gets booked, but either would be amazing. P Daddy would be a shocker, think Oso Oso is more likely.
It’s almost Christmas and we don’t know headliners. And this time it’s (most likely) not because anyone dropped. Bravo GV.
Can’t wait for the headliners to be some combo of Rage, JT, Frank and Travis just like everyone has been saying for months.
Oh I’m certain they will. But the general public isn’t gonna believe something just cause some people on a board said it even if they have some respectability to their name. So it keeps the spice alive

The general public doesn’t get bogged down with rumors or confirmations from any source other than the Coachella poster itself, so I think you’re splitting hairs here.

Meh. When billboard reports on it in December people listen. Regardless I still think we have a surprise headliner afoot.

How do I convince friends to camp?
Some nice pros: Right at the festival so no long shuttle waits and rides Can go back to camping area to rest or drink Save a couple hundred bucks Have a cool experience that I will remember for a while. Possibly make friends with neighbors
But some cons: Shower and bathroom situation. Privacy and space is general Seems like it’s harder to sleep with weather and people making noise. Also body is destroyed after a long day and a real bed is nice

Same dilemma for me. Most of my friends always mention the shower, but the pros make it all worth it. Being able to walk right back to my spot after the night is more than enough for me. Getting in and out is such a hassle, especially the shuttle lines. Another con for me was having to babysit my phone while at the charging stations, paranoid it would be stolen.. but most of the cons for camping can be prepared for. 2019 was my first time camping so I was unprepared a bit. But there's no way I can go back to hotel/airbnb personally.
The showers are actually kinda nice imo. And you save a ridiculous amount of money as well as having a free shuttle that takes you to the store. If you get a big enough group where people all bring something it’s not that bad. The only downside for me is the dust which destroys me for the next month

I always have this moment on Thursday or Friday night in the campgrounds where I tell myself "Next year, I'm getting a hotel" because I have trouble falling asleep with all the noise, but I end up buying a camping pass every year anyway because camping with all your friends at Coachella is a great part of the whole experience. If my group gets smaller or wealthier in the coming years, maybe we can look towards getting an Airbnb or staying somewhere offsite, but until then, camping is definitely the way to go.

I like camping because it gives me a chance to do my own thing. When I stay at a hotel I find myself waiting for people or whatever and end up missing something early.

Dust is an issue in general, but I also don’t have all my eyelashes rn so it’s a real problem for me. Hopefully not the case come April

I mentioned this a few pages back but my thinking is just that a site like HDD would have more sources/intel available to them to confirm the headliners, so if boardie(s) already know them I would have expected the insider music blogs to follow up quickly. In my memory that's how it usually goes in the past when we have "official" leaks. But we haven't had any sites willing to stake their reputation yet on a leak this year, which makes me wonder if it's not as straightforward as the rumors we've had for months already. Or is it just that the clicks from a reputable leak aren't worth negative blowback from artists/organizers anymore?

Yes but there is no escaping it unless you’re in the Yuma or Antarctic if you’re camping
You can't win on sleep/comfort in the campground, you just gotta be convinced that the convenience/price/atmosphere outweighs that. For a lot of people it does, for a lot of people it doesn't.
W/r/t charging phones, a couple power inverters can set you up for the whole weekend, depending on group size. There are also super inexpensive power banks that can charge a couple phones the whole weekend (they're just not pocket sized).

Part of me loves the low cost and convenience of camping, but another, larger part of me loves fighting off my hangover with a beer in a lounge chair next to the pool every morning.

Weekend 1 this year was the Platonic ideal for camping weather, but this still sounds unbeatable.

This was an issue last time, my group loves to lag
I got half the group down to camp, don’t think I’ll convince other half. But I really want to camp ASAP, I know as people get older they’ll have even more complaints
For large groups with 2 cars, do you guys get to be neighbors if you drive right behind car 1? Would want to all be next to each other if our group is like 7-8

They have a staging area on the right where you can wait for other cars in your group to get through security, though that area can be a shit show sometimes
