True, my bad. My memory gravitated to MBV and Slowdive, even though the almighty King Gizz was the headliner (not Slowdive).
The previous year's headliner trio of Iggy-King Gizz-Kurt Vile & Courtney Barnett was a great mix too.
Stop it I'm getting headliner envy
Good thing is last year only MBV were unopposed. Hopefully there's some good counter-programming in case Wu-Tang falls off the rails or Ween doesn't do it for us (I'm also struggling to get into them). Dakhabrakha was supposed to play during Tame and Beak> during Gizz which was really good counter-programming IMO
Also, I have tried to get into ween a few times and am again, but some of their shit seems so infantile and asinine... What an I missing here. This album kinda sucks

Spiritualized headlined two years ago, not Gizz. Just saying.

Both of the Full Clan shows I've seen had 1 member missing. Ghost at Rock The Bells NY '09 and Rae at Bonnaroo 13. Both included Young Dirty Bastard I think.

To be honest, you really don't even notice when one is missing. I thought they were all there before Meth announced that RZA was at his son's graduation. They cover each others lines so much and there were 10 people on stage (Street Life was also there).

I don’t follow this festival much but I think it’s really solid. Chocolate and Cheese is my fave Ween album, love Parquet Courts, haven’t seen Fly Lo or AnCo and Pussy Riot and Lightning Bolt were cool surprises near the bottom.
I dig the lineup, but will probably skip the festival this year. I'll keep an eye on the resale market in hopes that prices plummet again.
Wu-Tang feels cheap. Similar to the Isley Brothers at Pitchfork. They basically flipped a casino act into a headliner. Not saying they shouldn't be on there, but neither are headliners.

edit: Also, happy that Lumerians returned!
Its a legacy thing. The crowd bought into it at P4K, so it worked. ( dont tell me you werent dancing to Shout at the end ) They just cant do that again. Wu Tang makes you question whether that was the intention or they lost out on something so they looked at real left field choices and wu tang was it.

Os Mutantes were a fitting "legacy" headliner for Pitchfork that made more sense to me.
God I want to go to this so fucking bad, so does my gf and so does a few others I know. My god if this isn’t the most beautiful lineup my eyes have ever seen.
i still find it extremely amusing that our #1 headliner is billed WITH snoop and still buried on the 3rd line behind the following acts at the dumbest festival in southern california
i am going to daze, the rest of the lineup is amazing and it's going to be fucking awesome, but everything about this booking is massively disappointing imo

I get what you're saying but none of the other Daze headliners would be any higher on that poster.

My only real issue with Wu-Tang is that I've seen them before and I assume a lot of others have too. They're still legends playing their most classic album. "Everything about this booking is massively disappointing" is bit much. They're bigger than every headliner DD has booked before except Tame, MBV, and maybe Iggy Pop.
