Phil did an ama on Instagram and it seems like the security and grounds are being ironed out, as far as water stations and who's allowed in camping and such. Food situation in the campground is being upgraded, more stuff in the bazaar, and supposedly the art is pretty kick ass compared to last year, which I already thought was pretty fun. Didn't answer is dungen is being replaced. Sounds like we might be getting more late night campground shows but the answer was a little vague.

What stuck out to me is that the music in the festival goes til 2am but the "late night" mystic bazaar shows only til 3am. That one hour difference isn't very significant.
I feel like night shift security/venders have to be very expensive, and with most people not staying up til 4-6 it's just not worth the cost (for most fests, not just this)

Did he say they're actually gonna enforce camping passes this year? I struggle to see how this would even be possible without completely surrounding the campgrounds with a very expensive fence and security people. I've got a couple friends coming up for just Saturday and sleeping at my campsite, I keep telling them they should be fine getting into campgrounds without a camping pass. I guess worst case is they have to buy camping passes but there was zero enforcement last year and I'm guessing they're cutting costs even more this year....

I believe he said on instagram that it would be enforced this year. He said something about wanting to keep campers' belongings safe as a reason for not letting everyone use the mystic bazaar. I'm also unsure how this will be enforced. My guess is they have a few security people checking for camping wristbands. Were there camping wristbands or anything that showed you were camping last year? I can't remember.
next week it's the kids fall break, so doing disneyland and hittin' up the beach neext week. can't get away for the whole weekend, but gonna drop the kids with some friends and do Friday.
Made out my schedule and it looks like I'm not going to be at any of the top 3 headliners, which I take as a win. The schedule was good enough that I had better alternative each night

Man you really must not like The Flaming Lips, unless I'm missing something and Al Lover is more than a producer/DJ?
