Just saw it on Tuesday, and it's a top three show of the year for me (though I still have two more big shows until it's a wrap on the 2010s). Hate on, haters.
I know it might not be an issue, but I would certainly just tell anyone going out there this weekend to take into account what Southern California Edison is doing to customers out in Riverside and San Benardino County these next couple of days with their electricity. Considering the festival is going to use a significant amount of electricity, I just wonder if they maybe are preparing just in case the power got shut off.

So who all is going to this? I'll be there all 3 days, feel free to DM me if you wanna meet up. Murso74 & snowman I already got you guys' numbers so I'll shoot you a text.
Looks like there could be some strong winds on Friday and it'll be super low humidity, but the weather looks great overall. And there isn't a thunderstorm in the forecast this time.
Had a blast at this year's fest. The crowd was smaller than last year due to the lack of Tame Impala and that made everything more manageable. So much great music, I enjoyed every set I saw. And while it was too bad Shintaro Sakamoto couldn't make it, I was stoked to see Ride play.
The first announcement for 2019 came out on 2/12/19. Anyone heard any rumblings about any info coming this week? I haven't been to Desert Daze, but went to several Levitation (APF) festivals before they went the club only route, so I am hoping the lineup will get me there in 2020, with additional stars aligning as well. My one thought of a possible headliner, or maybe 2nd line, is JAMC doing Darklands. They have some spring shows in England lined up and came to the US to tour Psychocandy, so it feels like a possibility.

Phil/Moon Block hasn't really stuck to a year-in, year-out pattern of when "phases" of the lineup are released...Last year they released some of the artists very early to make up for the previous year's drama with Tame Impala/Night 1, but the previous year the first phase wasn't released until late March.
So yeah, the Daze hype machine will probably awaken soon, and we should get the first batch of artists before March ends.
And with that, I think I'll start a separate thread since we have the dates and location for Desert Daze IX.
