It’s not bad just was certain acts i thought would be on there so expectations were higher i guess it’s not bad but i already have ACL tix and way more of my taste this year. But yeah GNR, Beck, Interpol, Zhu, Bring Me The Horizon, and The Natuonal are all good gets imo. I’m not big on edm but saw zhu at life is beautiful 2 years ago that lead into the xx and then gorilaz and was one of the best 3 acts in a row I’ve seen at a fest on the same stage back to back. But for the cost I’m spending on ACL I’m gonna have to pass on voodoo this year but if i was going i could still enjoy this.
I am very disappointed about Billie not being on the lineup. I have been trying to see the National for awhile and Interpol is one of my favorite bands. I will be getting tickets this year for sure.

I don't recognize 80 percent of these names, and besides Beck, Interpol, national and Japanese breakfast and templed, none of them do anything for me. Is the undercard more of a local thing, or am i that out of touch?

If any of those don't know/research acts are any good, that could turn a 5.5-6/10 lineup (that would be a D or F without 5 of the top 6) into something better. It's okay enough for me to buy a Platinum, but it's really going to come down to whether Bassnectar goes up against Post Malone. If Bassnectar is up against either Guns & Roses or Beck, that's going to fuck me out of a high level set that I want to see.
I removed the parenthesis behind her - since I've seen her multiple times - that said "I've seen her enough times already." I like her attitude, but the shows don't really change much. She's "don't care" not "hate." Kind of the same thing goes for Elohim. I really don't need to see her again I don't think.
FWIW, I dribbled through a bunch of the shit I didn't know, and I'd have to say I didn't like most of it. Lots of it was pop and R&B which you expect to have some of that. I still have plenty more to go through, but the only new acts I've encountered anything potentially interesting was: Templo, Brutus and Willaris K. This is by no means anything final as I have 5 months to figure it out do much more research and decide if I like anything on the lower card I didn't know going in..
Does anybody actually like Beck? He's got a couple songs that aren't bad but I can't picture what a "beck fan" looks like.

Beck fans are/were mostly Gen X as he rose during the alternative era. I’ll tell you this - live headlining, he puts on a good show and tours with highly competent musicians. His Hangout ‘15 set won that weekend for me much to my surprise since I had no expectations. Opening for U2 was just whatever.
I don’t think he will. It won’t be super packed, but there should be 15k people at the stage for his set if it’s Sunday and depending on who is closing edm stage.
i dunno sometimes i feel like new orleans is frozen in the nineties. voodoo fest fans love their 90s acts.
Beck played the Civic and it was sold out the last time he played NOLA for a non-fest. Tickets were $100. I think he is going to have a good sized crowd.

LOL. I finally got around to skimming through some social media threads last night and was laughing my ass off. "This is (hot) garbage!" "WTF are you doing? This lineup sucks. I'm going see Post Malone and then leaving!" Hahahaha
No way is this any kind of stellar lineup (I gave it a C/C-). But for those who know more than a few acts, there's some fairly badass shit on it - and there is Post Malone. Just the same it's lacking in:
1) at least one evil-Halloween act (unless I haven't found it yet)
2) At least 1 jam or funk act between pHL and HL
3) mid-card rappers
4) hard rock (besides one or two acts)
Maybe them trying to appeal to as many demographics as they are trying to appeal to will invariably piss a lot of people off. IDK.

I heard there has been some serious bullying on the page since I got blocked. I was actually defending one of my fellow Voodoo tribe members, who is/was an inforoo member also. I am over it today, I was pissed yesterday because I didn't even do anything that warranted a ban.
I personally really like the lineup. I am all about almost every band on lines 3-8. I have a total of 15 artist that I would like to see, which makes this totally worth it.
