The National for headliner? They haven't played a big LA show since the Bowl in 2017 and are already doing Prima Barca.
Maybe, but they did just play the Greek in September. I'd call that a fairly proper size show for them given they've played the Bowl, multiple Palladium dates, and their record debut show downtown all since 2017 as well. Wouldn't shock me if they played, but it wouldn't be because of a lack of LA dates.

Yeah, we've gotten National shows 4 years in a row (Greek in 2016 also). They're a top 3 band for me, and I wouldn't exactly be devastated if we don't get a show this year.
If we're talking about bands that haven't played LA much, Vampire Weekend has done one LA show this album cycle, and has no dates set despite an extensive 2020 tour. Feels like an easy headliner.

Their tour dates start back after a little gap on September 23rd so that makes sense in a way, but those tour dates do start east coast which is a little bit weird routing.
"What are your plans for the U.S. edition of Primavera Sound in the first year? What kind of capacity are you looking at in year one?" to Alberto Guijarro, one of Primaver Sound's directors. His answer was: "...At this first edition we hope to attract 25,000 people per day, 75,000 people in three days, and we hope to increase this in the coming years."
I wonder if they're gonna add a third day to this.
