daft punk is more likely than skrillex. im struggling to think of someone to headline as well, most big names have played la in the last couple years and nobody from bcn edition makes sense. More likely for the bigger electronic name to sub but even then struggling with the type of acts primavera likes to book. Nico? avalanches? jamie xx? not sure about apparat's popularity in the u.s. and he never comes stateside.
I read RHCP are only doing 4 shows this year and 3 have been announced. Maybe they’ll be here! I’d like to see them or Rage Against The Machine add a second date to LA for later on in the year right before the NOV election! The Strokes or Tame Impala would be okay though.

Soulwax is announcing rescheduled NA dates this week. Hoping they have a San Diego date so I can see them locally and no L.A. date so they're at Primavera.
