well, whether or not those dates on twitter/instagram (but not facebook) were recently posted I would expect them to say something either this week or next week. seems like the flood gates are opening up this week, so hopefully it's soon.

hopefully we'll get something about LA during that announcement. since they already moved Barcelona to 2022 I would have thought they'd announce that LA was also moving at the same time if it was. since it hasn't been moved yet, I'd say it makes it at least a little more likely that it happens on those dates.
I don't imagine them saying anything before releasing the Barcelona lineup, to be honest.
Yeah, LA is pretty secondary here with Barcelona being the focus this next week. Theyre gonna piss some people off if they do ultimately decide to go 2022 with all of those “sooooon” replies theyve been giving.

I still hope they do it this year. With Coachella not happening this year, there won't be much festival competition in LA (unless GV announces some 1-day fests) and they should be able to sell out easily.

All I've got so far festival wise is Day 1 of Hard Summer, which I can't believe I'm even going to but I'm down for some Future & Kaytranada and I've got a good group of friends going. Primavera LA would be ace with Coachella out and Desert Daze switching it up this year. NIN doing shows in September really make me think this is happening. Also saw Porter Robinson is playing the park October 1st so it's good to see shows are in the works there. Fingers crossed.

Yeah, still no word about that stuff either which is surprising. I mean with Chicago just going off with their announcements cause the state and city came to an agreement with their fests at least gives hope that the same is happening in LA and could be tied to the June 15th re opening.
I think NIN is a lock and I'm sure that St Vincent would be there as well. beyond that, no idea.
if it's happening of course.
St Vincent is out. She is in Utah Saturday and Vegas Sunday. NIN is still doable cause they changed their date to tba on Riot and could play Saturday then fly to Chicago Sunday. Prima not being friday and sat this year is messing with things. That is unless they change them to make things work.

but I was told that airplanes exist for a reason?! (just kidding, I didn't check her tour dates and that's a bummer)
calling NIN a lock is pretty rough, they’re certainly subverting everyone’s expectations with where they’re playing so far
Aside from Riot fest the trend is that NIN is headlining one night of every fest where Metallica are playing *two unique sets
NIN didnt end up at Aftershock in Sacramento. They booked Misfits instead. It leaves the chance to play in California pretty open. I just dont think NIN goes cold turkey to Riot Fest and everything else.
With NIN playing Sunday on Riot fest, I think they can headline Saturday night IF it happens
I think Primavera could just change the dates to make it easier and make it Fri/Sat again. There is nothing to say thats not an option at all regardless of how it seems to be right now.
I don't think they'd pre-empt the Pavement reunion and other rare acts from the Barcelona 2022 festival, and I don't think they're going to book some lesser/completely different lineup at the last minute when its the first time they're introducing the brand to North America. Doubt its happening, but hope I'm pleasantly surprised.
