Wouldn't an all domestic US Primavera be kinda pointless? Especially for the inaugural edition.
If they have Bad Bunny on it thats enough for them. Unless you wanna count Tame Impala even though Kevin lives in LA now. I think they can create a strong enough line up thats very Primavera with U.S. acts if theyre forced to do so. Theres still a handful of artists who are not from the u.s living here right now as it is.
Edit: and you are assuming Portishead comes to the u.s for DD so that kinda throws the international theory out the window anyway.

ACL/Chella have much deeper pockets to bring in a few "gets" that may need 1-2 weeks quarantines on both sides of transatlantic travel. Plus private plane access. That could be $100k per act in C19 hassles that don't otherwise exists and are only worthwhile for very large or very unique acts. Maybe the price is lower if DJs travel lite and split flights
There's only so many Aphex/Portishead type acts out there that only play when someone hits their eye watering quote. Plus the promoters will want some kind of meaningful 2021 US exclusive.
Miley did the Spain Primavera and is a tougher fit for other US festivals.
I mean, at this point, I already forgot about the money I spent two years ago, so if it ends up happening in 2022, could be very nice to have tickets for it. But at the same time, I don't fully trust them, so I don't wanna risk it. Shouldn't be that hard to get tickets next year if it happens.
Yeah, I figured if it did go down this year that I maybe lose $50 on the next price level of tickets. But I wouldve gotten a line up before buying at least.
fact that NIN was part of the initial lineup shows i like where their head was at for band bookings. i'm going to hold my tickets. not planning on moving from LA anytime soon

With Pitchfork a week earlier, I wonder how many acts make the jump over to this. Definitely a number of names I'd like to see, especially since I likely won't be traveling to any out-of-state festivals this year.

has anyone been able to find the early bird order under your FGT account? I just logged in to double check my order and it doesn't show my order. I'm positive I didn't request a refund for this and a search of my emails doesn't show that I canceled. even if I refunded I'm sure it would have been under my order history.
edit, OK I was able to look it up. if you want to check, click manage orders and do a lookup with the order number. for some reason it doesn't show up under my account.
