What if prima LA and TANP was combined into 1 festival, that would make things much easier
what if the larger festival simply ate the other
Maybe Prima changes their mind on the LN partnership if this doesnt go off as well as they thought. They def couldve tried to pull it at the Coliseum grounds. TANP has the advantage of flexibility with their venue cause you could make it big or keep it semi intimate vs Prima has whatever space there is at the park and cant try anything else. Like how crammed is it gonna be with 4 stages going and all that.
Love the lineup and the venue is solid, I hate the 12am curfew but the dance side of this lineup is superior to most of what we've seen in the US lately, overall this is a win for me I'm planning to go. It's unfortunate that the Picnic fest is like 2 weeks before this because that also looked pretty good.
Wow, I didn't realize they are actually 2 weeks apart. One of these festivals is going to go out of business this year.

It's absolutely going to be the panorama type one. So we may as well go while we can
Objectively this is a pretty great lineup, and it's grown on me the more I've looked at this evening. With 15-20 more adds possible they could really round out this lineup. With as expensive as tickets are though I will definitely be taking a wait and see approach. Like gocatsnu mentioned I feel like the secondary market should be pretty soft for this, especially with TANP a couple weeks prior.

Love the optimism but no festival like this has ever survived in the US, these are two weeks apart in the same city, and the concert market is soft as baby shit right now

So you wanna tell me that Pitchfork and Lolla havent coexisted for the last 15 years while being 2 weeks apart? Ok.
If one of them is going to be over and done with in a couple years its probably Prima. They could essentially move this around to another city in the u.s. since theyre going to be adding others around the world anyway. Goldenvoice aint going nowhere and they can always come up with a different niche thing with echoes of FYF and the audience will buy in cause they know theyll be getting some Coachella crossover along with it. You can argue that covid was the worst thing to happen for Primavera because it allowed Goldenvoice to have 2 years of planning to come up with TANP.
If this was happening in the middle of winter I would be there. Good but so much competition and expensive.
All these new festivals being announced are gonna have good music but really cookie cutter even if primavera is amazing at what they do. Things are better when they're home grown

You have cracked why Goldenvoice has created Picnic out of nowhere within the first 12 hours of Primavera announcement.
That Buenos Aires location looks pretty cool, lots of open space,up against the ocean. ill be interested to see how they deal with serious bottlenecks getting into the park on foot

All 3 of the SA Primaveras are being held on the same weekend, which confuses me. I guess we gotta wait and see how much variation there is between the fests

The planes argument is going to heat up for this one.

I’m guessing they’ll be very similar with the day 1 lineup at one location being the day 2 lineup in the second and the day 3 lineup in the third and so on.
