Seems like Vampire Weekend would be in for this, or at least I'm hoping they are after waiting for them to pop up on Coachella the past two years.
Unless Just like Heaven or Arroyo Second return. Any word on those?
JLH didnt announce til March and sold out super quick, so maybe around the same time. Theyve got plenty of bands to pick from if they stick with the time frame. And what if thats where VW is playing cause they would get a headline slot instead of lower down at coachella.
Gv still has a deal to put events on at The Rose Bowl and could just do another single mini fest like The Cure one last year to keep things going. Junes a tough month as it is to book talent, plus they could have more focus on Firefly since its around the same time and its just a safer bet. Maybe theyll have MCR curate their own day fest in Pasadena. That would let them “headline” at least. 😂
Any more buzz on crossover with Barcelona? Would think Tyler is out for Flog Gnaw, Bauhaus and Bikini Kill just played 3 LA shows each, Lana and the Strokes have spring shows, and believe Pavement was a "worldwide exclusive" so I'm not sure how much that leaves.

Nick Cave Euro tour ends in Dublin Sept 5th. Then it's UK in December.
US dates are likely in that gap and they will want arenas of some kind with Primavera LA being logical. Cave/Seeds did Primavera Barcelona in 2013/2018.

They are also a GV act so that may cause some conflicts if GV offers them a run of Cali dates.
Are we guessing they try to make an impression with a fantastic top tier lineup or just a good lineup?
I'm definitely scaling back my expectations. The capacity of this is pretty damn small compared to just about every other major festival. I definitely think it will be a good lineup, but my bet is it will look something like Prima Porto in comparison to Barcelona. At least in terms of number of "big" names in the top lines.
On that note, MCR is now fully ruled out with their new tour announcement.

The venue is pretty small. I don't see how you'd get more than two stages into Historic Park unless they're gonna expand the grounds quite a bit more than the two times I've been. It'll be a small, but strong lineup.

88 Rising had 3 stages, so its doable. Go walk the park and see theres a bit more space than ya think. If they were going to have NIN as one of their big acts, that should be the level of name you should expect here. Big enough to draw but still backed up some cred.
I expect the lineup to be smaller than most are expecting. Expecting a Porto sized lineup seems overly optimistic.
Ah jeez for real? Well this is going to be even smaller than my smallest expectations. It's going to take a miracle of a lineup to get me down from BC now.

I’m just speculating. I don’t have any inside info.
