Automatic gratuity added and the bartenders don't get to keep those tips.
I can confirm auto gratuity but I only heard about the no tips thing.
The 20% auto grat on credit cards DO go in a big pool then equally distributed among all the bartenders at the festival. I confirmed this with multiple bartenders.
The shady thing is no one knew this and the bartenders would bring up the tip % screen and flip the ipad around and so people were paying the 20% auto grat PLUS another tip. Really shady imo. This made water almost $8 and a vodka/redbull was $24. Unfucking real.
This happened to us several times around Miami and it makes me wonder if it's just a Miami thing. Makes you wonder how awful they're paying their people fi they basically have to trick you into double tipping.
Also, it probably wouldn't work for the whole night but they had free vodka red bull in the UFO ride

This is a Miami thing. It mainly started because of the amount of international tourism and people in the service industry kept getting stiffed. Like most things that start with good intentions it turned into a greedy money grab by places that will add a second tip line, hide the auto-grat notice, or just straight up not tell you.
Any place that has auto-grat typically sets it at 18% which is their loss because most people I know tip 20-25% no matter how bad the service gets. If we see auto-grat at 18% and then a second tip line/hidden auto-grat notice then nothing more comes.
Miami Mojito Co does it right. They notify you on their screens and then the tip options are to round to 20-25% (you’ll see tip options of like $0.75-$2.00) instead of asking for 15, 20, or a 25% tip on top of the auto-grat.

We're all a mess of paradoxes. Believing in things we know can't be true. We walk around carrying feelings too complicated and contradictory to express. But when it all becomes too big, and words aren't enough to help get it all out, there's always music.

They kept playing a song Sat night in between sets at Main Frame that I had never heard but enjoyed a lot. For a moment, in my ethereal state of mind, I thought it must be that Postal Service had corresponded with Jonsi and released a new song in French. I found it!

Making those playlists is always a fun week-of project during all the madness and stress

work for them...unless that's changed between now and when he told us that
I got hired as an independent contractor for 4 weeks to do the giant cube and screens on Mind Melt, Main Frame, Sector 3 in between shows.
Also Insomniac contracted my LLC to handle pay outs for staff.
IIIs is still owned by Insomniac right? Cause the designs, outlook and line-up look way more to what IIIs was than hoe they presented the 2020 line-up.

I think insomniac a big stake but not the whole thing outright. And they own part of club space as well

thats very cool, but I have to say I find it pretty odd that Insomniac would need to contract out pay outs lol
It’s a process for them to get all those staff on their system so they rather just wire me the money and have me pay them. I did it for Secret Project.

We stopped by for a few songs. Without knowing much about him I enjoyed what I saw but my fiance hated it lol. She didn't seem to enjoy Sector 3 in general.

Sector 3 had trash sound. Some girl talked my friends into going to see Eartheater and it legit sounded like a dying goat.
