Given the last communique, I'm inclined to agree with garageland - I think we lost the 12 hr drone this year. I can't say I blame them. It seems like it was always a bigger headline than an actual attended event... nevertheless, I'm disappointed.
They clearly have the schedule, so they should just release it. This is not Coachella after all.
I hear ya... I want to start planning! Though, from a marketing perspective, it makes sense to me to delay the schedule as long as possible. As a casual ticket buyer, if I look at a daily breakdown of who is playing, I'll think, "Oh, there are 10 bands I want to see on Saturday! Let's do this!" But an actual schedule would make me realize "Crap! The 10 bands I want to see are overlapping each other; I'll be lucky if I see 3 complete shows! Hmm..."
Stating the obvious, I know... and of course this isn't a dig at Big Ears; it's the siren call of all festivals
A few weeks ago I was mentioning to a friend that while I'm happy they're bringing back the film festival, it's going to be next to impossible to beat 2018's "Stereo Visions: A Survey of 3D Cinema." ... and look at this... "Stereo Visions" is back! If you missed out on it last time, DO try to make some room in your schedule this year. It really was a highlight of the festival for me.

As soon as I see the schedule, I'll try my best to fit some

Didn't they only use the Tennessee for evening shows last year? I feel like it was something weird like that.
Hoping it's something like KISS > Patti (Tennessee) with Braxton at the Bijou and Sudan Archives closing out the Standard (or the new venue which is a block from Boyd's)
"We're thrilled to have the wonderful Molly Tuttle joining us at Big Ears, now, less than four weeks away. She, along with The Haden Triplets, and others still to be announced, continue the festival's celebration of American roots music and its many paths. This week, we announce some new artists, including some special program collaborations with WDVX and Boyd's Jig & Reel, plus an incredible program of adventurous music programmed by Jason Boardman at The Pilot Light."
Still waiting for that schedule - I hope it arrives until next week.
Wombo, Black's Myths and Dream Chambers are definitely worth catching... but man, I don't know how that's going to be possible at this point. There is no room in the schedule and the schedule hasn't even been released! Imagine when it IS released, there will be less than no room. LESS THAN NO ROOM!
