I’m sure he got his months mixed up, but cover band Journey at Lolla doesn’t make a lot of sense, but then again who knows what 2021 will look like lol

Cover band Journey sells tickets for like $20 at outdoor venues. Doesn't make sense in a headlining slot without the original lineup. If Steve Perry is back then they maybe have a big deal here. Randy Jackson just joined back with the band this year. Either way, the target demo won't have any interest in Journey in any capacity.

plus everything with the band is tied up in a massive lawsuit, they're not headlining anything

fwiw they already postponed the SA lollapaloozas to November. Im thinking there is a chance he mixed up festival date and lineup release date but im not too sure.

Journey fired bassist Ross Valory and drummer Steve Smith in March following an alleged “coup” in which they tried to seize control of the Journey trademark.
"We’re planning on a full album release in 2021 before we get back to touring. We did book our first show of 2021. We’re going to be headlining Lollapalooza in Chicago on July 31st unless they move it. My fingers are crossed that everyone is going to get the vaccine and feel good and get back to it. I’m just so looking forward to playing with the new band. Post Malone is headlining at the same time as us about a mile away on another stage. It’ll be interesting."
Journey's Neal Schon confirms again (with the correct dates) that they are playing Lollapalooza Chicago on July 31st on Bud Light stage against Post Malone.

for them to be booked at lolla they had to be against a big pop ish act that would attract a big crowd since they wont have a big draw themselves with this demo.
I think Post is the perfect act to oppose them. It could help increase single day sales from the older demographic possibly, well see.

Seems so, havent seen any headliners confirmed for any festival yet. With the current dates, wouldnt be surprised if Lolla was the first to announce a lineup.
I hope the trend of old dudes who've never done a festival saying stuff in the media that maybe the festival would maybe rather they not publicize continues.

one day, Jimmy Buffett is gonna say he's headlining Hangout, and they're just gonna make it happen regardless if it was being planned or not.
And it would probably be enough to get me to my first Hangout

You also tried decently hard to get me to agree to pick Jimmy Buffett to headline Roo in the realism draft
