Lol, good news this guy looks like he was bottom 3rd of the Firefly lineup so he’s not important to us. All I took from this being shared with me was that a lineup may be coming soon

Lineup has to be coming before the end of the month, right? We’re almost two months out.
Has to be. I wouldnt be surprised if they say something about lolla tomorrow. Chicago has been doing their reopening in 2 week increments and tomorrow the mayor should have a press conference so we will see. Riot Fest and Spring Awakening are supposedly coming this week too.
Lolla is first this time and the other 2 have sold some tickets already anyway. I dont think the sales are going to be too much of an issue rather than actually announcing. It would suck if theyre really being dependent on city hall and not their own schedule. Give everyone the info they are waiting for, this doesnt need to be a huge ass deal. Like is the Pope visiting the city or something?
None of them have approved permits yet. They are holding large scale events on city property, in a city that has historically not been shy about asserting itself. EDC tried to power past the city approval process in, and look how that worked out.
Lollapalooza impacts the downtown in a major way for several weeks. It also requires a lot of dedicated city resources and transit systems to support. Additionally, I believe the festival is in the last year of a 10 year agreement with the city, and probably not trying to step on any toes. I get that we're all impatient, want to see a line-up, and cement plans, but so far Chicago seems to be on the right track here and if all goes well this will be the first major US festival back. It'll be big news when it happens.
In the meantime, we can see the signals, know the dates and are free to take advantage of the cheap hotels/airbnbs before the rest of the world gets the news (likely sooner than later).
Booked my stay at Hotel Blake. Decent price, excellent reviews, 10 min walk to the fest. Let's do this!

Bridge phase in IL, cases down. CDC said no longer need masks... Its about time for a lineup and tickets smh. HAS to be before the end of next week id think.
With the Bridge Phase starting tomorrow and all the news today, it feels like the only sensible thing to do is make this part of the press around the next phase of reopening tomorrow. If we don't get any indicators then, I have no clue what the plan is.

Could be as soon as tomorrow. Lori wants to be the star of the show so im sure she makes the big announcement at a press conference sort of thing like she has been doing. After the announcement could see lineups rolling out all of next week.

My bet is press conference with the city and all the major festival promoters tomorrow, and then they'll stagger their line-up releases in a manner similar to what Joyrider described.

Wasn't the suggestion last year that we might be in for Porno for Pyro's reunion? Honestly, would not be shocked to see Perry play multiple days at this or trot out some kind of super set.
Also seen it hinted that a Gnarls Barkley reunion could be in the mix for this as well.
