yeah what she did to Mariah Carey was pretty awful, especially considering she ended up miscarrying like a week later. she just seems like the pinnacle of what years of fame money and power can do to someone who likely was at a point in time a genuinely nice person.

Personally, I really dislike Wendy Williams way more. She has had a lot more shitty things in front of the camera than behind but if we're talking shitty daytime talk hosts Wendy sucks pretty hard.

oh yeah she can be extremely cruel. have a video for that also.
Bad bosses exist in every work situation. While it's great that there's a reckoning to force some people to stop being a-holes, cancelling angry bosses in the same way we do pedophiles is absolutely weird.
Like, I purposely didn't support Amy Klobuchar for President because there are way too many persistent stories of her being a complete angry boss a-hole to her employees, and I don't want that in the White House, especially after the last four years. But I wouldn't say she should be cancelled. Some people are just a-holes. It makes us appreciate the non-a-holes all the more. Hating the creator of a TV show might mean that the entire production staff they employ are now out of jobs, and for what? So we can hold our heads high and pretend WE'RE never jerks? Please.
Like Tom Cruise flipping out on the set of the latest Mission Impossible movie - he's a Scientologist. A weirdo. A controlling dude. But he also employs thousands of folks to make entertainment that millions love, so when he throws a rant about costing everyone their jobs, he's right. Those jobs matter, no matter what a weirdo he might be.
Don't get me wrong... I've quit many jobs because of bad bosses, and I would love for them to have a reckoning, too. It's confusing times.

Wow, haven't heard the Job Creator rhetoric in awhile.
Spoken like someone who's never created a job, or worked for anybody who has.
If you're that attached to your argument, better stop eating out... head chefs are some of the biggest a-holes on the planet. And the bosses who employ the workers in the field gathering the food? They're not exactly Mr. Nice Guy. Living a life with no perspective is a huge mistake.

You don't know the first thing about me.
If you're that attached to your argument, better forgive every terrible thing anyone's ever done because they gave money to someone else.

this is such a bad way to look at life, don't let people treat you like shit just because they are worth a lot of money.
Anyways, I promise you there will be another day time TV show with Ellen gone that will create jobs. She's a cog in the wheel she's not the wheel.

It's about the public betrayal of trust. Ellen had an appearance of being a goofy late night show host and that entire image is ruined when it turns out she treats her staff the way she does.

Yeah, but she left us with this all-time great moment:

I guess Ellie Kemper (The Office, Kimmy Schmidt) is now being looked at after someone found she was involved in some potentially KKK-related pageant or some shit. I haven't looked into it too much but a lot of people connecting this thing to the Klan so we'll see how this turns out.
Apparently her family is very wealthy and powerful in Missouri. It's always so interesting to find out when people I thought came from nowhere in comedy actually have wealthy, connected parents (Lena Dunham, Nick Kroll, Chris D'Elia, etc.). It makes sense that people who have financial backing are able to spend their youth doing stand-up, improv, and working in media because they have a safety net in case it doesn't work out. I just get surprised when another new name pops up as coming from money when I thought they came out of nowhere.
I know a few people that are still a part of VP. It’s pretty common old money stuff. And frankly with how common that is amongst that crowd, I’d be surprised if she even knew how tied to the KKK that is. Even one of my most progressive friends went to the ball every year unknowing that it’s basically the remnants of the KKK

Yeah, that's why I wanted to make sure I mentioned that I don't know how actually connected it is or anything. Some on twitter were pointing out it's rich white people but not connected but then others saying they have ties and I have no clue the history or anything about it. Just disappointed to see Ellie Kemper sucked into something like this cuz I'm a big fan. First I think I've heard of this kind of pageant/group.
