Lying about the Famous lyric and then making a big speech about it at the Grammy’s LOL
What did she lie about?
In a private phone call:
Kanye: “What if, later in the song, I was to say, ‘I made her famous?’”
T Swift: “It’s just kind of like whatever at this point. You’ve got to tell the story the way it happened to you and the way you experienced it.”
Later at the Grammy’s:
T Swift: “I want to say to all the young women out there, there will be people along the way who will try to undercut your success, or take credit for your accomplishments or your fame”

Taylor Swift and the discourse around her annoy me too sometimes, fwiw. But the talent and the popularity generate the discourse more than the other way around. I don't think the reason she has made a lot of money is primarily because of playing the victim.

Anything about calling her "that bitch"?
Nah T Swift’s speech took issue with undercutting fame not cussing

First off - I have had a sour taste about Whoopi since the infamous "it wasn't RAPE rape" bullshit excuse for Roman Polanski.
Then this moment and apparently she went on Colbert talk show and sort of doubles down a bit before the apology.
I can sorta kinda understand the idea that in America "race" is more focused on skin color but she still sounded very ignorant and condescending on a topic she probably didn't need to even give her input on
Wait, so The Rock is going to be "cancelled" because he said something supportive of Joe Rogan?
no ones cancelling him, just disappointing to see he was hanging out with bezos and supporting a man actively disseminating misinformation that’s killing people
I thought it was well known The Rock is a longtime Republican
Its not that he has tried to hide it, more that he slightly veiled himself similar to Arnold. He has that broad appeal of being someone that doesnt take anyones bullshit, but would move heaven and earth to go hang out with a Make A Wish kid in a heartbeat. So everyone assumes he is a democrat. I guess its more of a question of how moderate he is.
Saudi Arabia's crown prince, Mohammad bin Salman, is currently visiting Los Angeles on his last leg of his grand US tour, and just received praise from one of the Hollywood's most important residents — Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson.
The actor attended a private dinner with the crown prince this week at media mogul Rupert Murdoch's house. Others in attendance included Disney CEO Bob Iger, Morgan Freeman, James Cameron, and Universal film chairman Jeff Shell.
Johnson appeared to have had really enjoyed himself, so much so that he posted a lengthy message on his Instagram account.
"An historic night it was. A pleasure to have a private dinner with the Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia, Mohammed bin Salman, his royal family and distinguished cadre," he said.
Johnson praised the crown prince for his modernization efforts in the kingdom, and said that he would visit Saudi Arabia soon.
The post originally included a section on Johnson's apparent popularity in Saudi Arabia, although the actor seems to have removed it.

Joe Rogan got a bunch of episodes of his podcast removed from spotify and is apologizing for the "many" n-bombs he has used on podcast in the past. Amazed that this seems to be the first time it's ever been brought up where I saw anything about it.

Some of his explanations/excuses were......not great. Especially the Planet of the Apes story explanation.

I don’t watch all of the podcasts but I have watched a good bit. Usually I’m just confused by all of the controversy around him. I never hear anything really bad in the ones I watch. But they apparently took out one of the episodes with Maynard and I know I watched that. I don’t remember anything off hand. So yea this is fucked up to see that he said it that many times.

I wasn't fully aware about all the racial stuff, though it's not too surprising.
I'm more always annoyed on the shitty conspiracy and misleading science/political guests. The Alex Jones, Ben Shapiro, Tim Pool, Jordan Peterson, etc. Especially all the covid misinfo shit and anti-vax / ivermectin promotion shit. He's a big "you can't say anything anymore" cancel culture dummy.
I have certainly enjoyed episodes of his podcast in the past but the last few years and seeing some of the political/medical/misinfo shit he spreads out really turned me off from him. I remember seeing a few of the guys I work with who listened to him a ton start to get more and more misogynistic and hateful about weird culture war shit (like getting very angry when a role that was originally a white man in comics or books was switched to a woman or person of color). I felt like it was directly related to Joe Rogan (and other shows/media they would take in, to be fair).

I never watch any of those. I started watching because of Maynard and then I'd watch other musicians or comedians and crazy people like Mike Tyson, etc. Like I said I don't remember anything like these accusations, so it must obviously be happening on the ones I don't watch.

Yeah, I used to mostly focus on comedians or someone interesting. I avoided most MMA and political guests when they would come on.
