I saw the Killers at Continental Club that year and it was a screaming mosh pit of 15 years separated teenage 30 somethings females and was pretty dang good.
Word. But that wasn’t the point. Maybe it can be overproduced or be accused of whatever, but fuck some hate for Muse live.
It's not hate for Muse live, they've just played the fest so much. But if they played, would I be at their set? Hell Yeah.
Pretty sure I'm locking in my flights in January for this. Have a place to stay no matter what but I just wanna find out about the differences between each weekend before I do. Would just wait for the lineup drop but the other person I'm going with is tight on cash so she wants to book flights before the lineup is out.
Which weekend usually has better exclusives Which weekend is less crowded/has the best crowd? Which weekend has the best weather? lastly, How bad is the dust W2 vs W1?

Which weekend usually has better exclusives really just depends but expect one headliner/sub level band being exclusive. Which weekend is less crowded/has the best crowd? the one during Oklahoma/UT football. Which weekend has the best weather? wild card bitches lastly, How bad is the dust W2 vs W1? dust sucks w2, but it's nothing compared to Roo. the park is in generally good condition, and ideally there's a small bit of rain to keep it down.

Thank you! Osheaga had really bad dust this year but I could deal. I think w2 is probably the play
Done both and can honestly say that I liked W2 better. Crowd is usually a little older (which means late 20s) and seems to be more appreciative of the performances. Dust is a pretty shizzy though.
Arcade Fire is performing their 1st show in quite a bit in NOLA. I'm assuming it is just a one off this year since they live there, but they would be a good repeat, albeit not at peak in popularity at the moment HL.
Kanaval is Win & Regine's thing with Pres Hall's Ben Jaffe that they started a couple years ago to celebrate New Orleans and Hatian culture, and Regine being French Canadian, she's part of that too.
The Kanaval Ball is Friday, Feb. 14, 2020 at the Mahalia Jackson Theater for the Performing Arts. In addition to Arcade Fire, the bill includes the Preservation Hall Jazz Band and the Haitian acts Michael Brun, Jillionaire, Lakou Mizik and Pierre Kwenders, with additional special guests.
was just thinking Harry would make a lot of sense for this but he's out going from Mex > Brazil during ACL.
He is also doing 3 Texas shows like 2 months before.
eh people play shows in tx and still end up playing ACL. Musgraves/Lizzo did. I feel like even if that were the case, being one of the few fests to have him booked would be big for them and they wouldn't mind. he'd still be a big draw.
do know it's $100 to sit 4 rows from the top at his show in houston? fuck that.

Yeah but Kacey played in March, and Lizzo's shows were announced like a month after ACL. Lizzo's shows in Houston and Dallas were in between ACL so that happens very often. Kacey too I recall her show was announced in like late July, I went to the Dallas show that was the day before W2 started. But it is pretty to see someone that plays around TX in July-September be at ACL too. Phoenix in 2018 comes to mind but they were last minute and probably as a favor (plus C3 MGMT books them so that helped).
I wouldn't mind Harry either bc I like him but doing those 3 Texas markets is enough. I would hate to compete vs his fans for barricade lol...Shawn Mendes fans showed up early as shit the day he played at ACL but they were nice and I got my rail spot for Arctic Monkeys. I was surprised to see so many younger girls waiting all day at the rail for shawn then dipping before AM.
His shows have a 360 stage on this tour tho so I am excited to see what he does with that. I enjoyed seeing Muse when they did the 360 stage thing but apparently they hated it and went back to the regular end zone stage now
Yeah the stage looked cool, I was thinking about getting tickets because there is a $60 one (still crazy but doable) only thing is its just the back few rows.

I don't think Crue have broad enough appeal to be #1 over Rage or Kendrick, but I guess they could mainstage a night. It's not entirely out of the question. Seems unlikely, though.
