Rosalia is incredible and she's pretty huge internationally. I think she puts on headline worthy performances, but I feel like her popularity in the States isn't there yet. Would be a great sub though.

Give me Adele and I'm happy. As far as rock goes, not counting potential reunions: System of a Down (big enough to be the light headliner, especially if we ever get that new album), Coldplay, MCR if they're still together in a year, maybe the last of their shows next year instead of among the first this year. There isn't a headliner caliber rap act that I want (that I haven't seen already) besides Kanye if he decides to play secular music again.
So Alicia Keys looks like she's on a possible 2021 festival trajectory. She's got a big 2020 lined up with hosting the Grammys, a new album, then a world tour with a single LA date. If the year goes well, she could easily be a "backup" headliner option if they're hellbent on getting a solo female act in the Top 3 once again and are unable to get someone bigger like Adele/Rihanna/TSwift.
Can someone ask the old lady from Egypt what she thinks of Lana Del Rey headlining Coachella so we can know whether the festival has redeemed its reputation as a laughingstock worldwide

She would headline Stagecoach and be top 3 on a Coachella day. Cant really gauge her draw from a tech company ass kiss event. Easily going to be an arena act next album cycle though.
So anyone wanna jump on The Rammstein train for next year? Their stadium tour is selling pretty well and theres demand since they hadnt come stateside in 9 years. Would be an interesting second line choice and you could give them an extended set closing Outdoor against a rap headliner.

If Rammstein is capable of doing stadiums here in the US then I think they run into the same problem as BTS where they may actually be too big to be on the second line. They could possibly sub but if they sell out the LA Memorial Coliseum (which they're on pace to) then I could easily imagine them demanding a headlining spot if reached out to. Stadium acts are usually headliners.

Crazy to think we could’ve possibly had several future headliners as undercards last year with Billie Eilish, Rosalía and Lizzo, maybe H.E.R. and Kacey Musgraves too.
