I think there’s a good chance we’ll get two female headliners next year with Rihanna looking the most likely of the bunch. Kendrick could come back with 4 years between appearances but I feel like if anybody is up next for the rap headliner slot, it’s Post Malone. After this year’s lineup, I also think BTS’ chances have gone up after this years lineup considering the effort to bring in more Asian acts. Arcade Fire are in an interesting spot too, are they still headliners or could they possibly sub?
I’m guessing, however, the crowd who’s been struggling with lineups as of late are REALLY not going to like next year’s headliners.
Is the XX big enough to headline? I know they were a sub in 2017, but I think their new album will have to be huge for them to get the bump up. Fingers crossed because I'd love to see them on the fields
IMO, the Stripes or NIN would only draw so-so at Coachella 2021.
Not to mention Meg White may need to start training 15 months in advance. She was spotted at a camera free Raconteurs Detroit show summer 2019 and fans had trouble recognizing her.

Honestly I'm at a loss for a rock headliner. I feel incredibly confident that Billie Eilish will headline after the release of her next album in 21 or 22. All of her arena dates in 2020 are currently sold out.
