Penn State has the easiest schedule they've had in a while in 2020:
Kent State @vt SJSU NU mich Bye Iowa OSU @iu @neb MSU UMD ru
Biggest losses are Yetur Gross-Matos and KJ Hamler declaring early, but senior losses are minimal. Season success is going to hinge on Clifford taking a step forward and gelling with the new OC. We'll probably lose in the big house, and I can see us pulling out a win in the white out against OSU. 10-2 or 11-1 are definitely possible this year.
I think theres no reason to think that win at home vs OSU would be more likely than loss @vt
On a related note, my boss follows football but hasn't seen Clemson really. During the game, she thought for an extended period it really was ETN that they were saying like OBJ and was curious to what it stood for. She accepted getting laughed at with no hesitation.

Sep. 5th - Liberty W Sep. 12th - Penn St L Sep. 19th - @ Middle Tennessee W Sep. 26th - North Alabama W Oct 3rd - GT W Oct 10th - @ UNC W Oct 22nd - BC W Oct 31st - @ UL W Nov. 6th - @ Pitt L Nov. 14th - Miami W Nov. 21st - @ Duke W Nov. 28th - UVA W
9-3 is probably more likely. VT has been awful in the big home matchup that is the highest aftermarket ticket priced game of the year for awhile now. Don't see us beating UL and Pitt back to back on the road, and we have 9 days of rest/prep for UL compared to 6 for Pitt.
The Bengals playing home the day after the VT/UL game could be a fun weekend..

I'm super pissed about the VT game being a Friday night home game. Even if the talent levels in Western PA high school football have consistently fallen in the last 40 years, the passion has not.
We should have beaten them in South Bend in 2018. And now our defense is loaded and was 4th in the country in yards per play last year. Plus Ian Book sucks.

Ian Book is very ho-hum, won't argue that. I know we are all anti ND (myself included) but Kelly has built a consisted top 15 program. Last three years they have been 33-6, four out of the last five years they have won double digit games. They have become well known for winning the games they're suppose to and losing the games they're suppose to.
