An argument broke out in the Penguins Facebook group that I'm a member of about the covid-19 crisis/it's not a crisis and someone said to me that she doesn't care what's happening in Italy. She said "not to be cruel, but I don't care if those people are dying."
Most of the hockey fans in that group are firm in their beliefs that this is nothing but a media/Democrat concocted story to make Trump look bad and they're pissed off because there's a good chance the remaining hockey games will start not allowing spectators in the arenas. Read that again: they're mad because they can't (or have the potential to not be able to go) to a hockey game.
I am thinking that it's time for me to leave the group before I completely loose my shit.

hockey fans are the dumbest of the bunch
I was thinking about this earlier. The frustrating part for me is that, if they decide to go the route with not having fans in the arena, there are two options that the pissy fans will with. 1) Everything blows up and they argue that missing out on hockey was bullshit because it didn't stop anything or 2) Gathering bans such as this help keep things under control at which point they will argue that the bans weren't needed since it never got that bad.

Good. Just yesterday the Warriors were saying that money is too important and any fan that gets infected won't be allow to sue because they knew the risks.
Roo Despacio 3 nights of phish Elements fest Resonance Fest
I guess I’d get a pay day but I wanna be in fields and Despacio
Losing Despacio will hurt me in my very soul...but I have to admit, even if they don't officially cancel it (I'm guessing they will, given the way everyone's predicting things will go over the next couple of weeks), I'd have to think hard about whether to attend, or not. I'm not in a high-risk group and, given that I'm currently unemployed, self-quarantining afterward for two weeks wouldn't be hard. But being in that kind of crowd, dancing, lots of people sharing close air...it seems like exactly the kind of thing we're being told we need to not do if this is not going to become something terribly bad.
I have tickets for a lot of shows right now. Nothing cancelled yet. One way to look at it is we're going to have a lot of money if everything is cancelled.
You and me both, and I'll be getting 4 King Crimson tickets today if I get the code (so another $400+/-). I was thinking about that last night. This is mostly March/April/May with Bonnaroo thrown in:
Buku Fest (Too Buku) - $742 Bonnaroo - $400 Primus Tribute to Kings x 3 - $300 Umphrey's - $40 Disco Biscuits 2 nights - $114 Turkuaz Remain in Light x 2 = $116 Tractorbeam x2 $70 Doom Flamingo - $35
So a little over $1,800? I can always use that, but I was happy enough to have tickets to those shows. :/
11 shows, 2 fests= $2322.45, not counting any hotels
Seeing a lot of buzz around just flat out cancelling March Madness.
I’ll be standing in the middle of the road screaming. This makes me very very sad.
"lets not continue to have games without fans allowing the players the opportunity to showcase themselves to further their careers because we won't make any money that way"

Not a fan anymore, but just realized WrestleMania is probably getting cancelled next month too. Unless they do an Empty Arena PPV. In which case, I'm totally watching.
