I really don't like this 5 day rule. My boss tested positive and is back in the office. He's wearing a mask and has no symptoms, but I feel like he's still contagious...
He probably isn’t. But just in case, avoid him like the plague for a few days. In other words, do what you normally do.

Yeah it is a pretty dumb rule. At least he is masking.

Tested positive last Friday with the Antigen test. At the same time, I was given a free PCR test to take as well. It's Thursday and I still haven't got those results back. I'm perfectly fine now, been relatively symptom free since Saturday. I can't imagine other people who are relaying on those PCR results though.

Yea... that's why I loaded on up on rapids a few months ago. I'm not even sure I'm going to bother getting a PCR if I get sick. I didn't back in Novemberish, I tested a few times with rapids and was negative. Just stayed home.
Good news is that the fiance's test came back negative today, but she's been real sick with something.
There is a bronchial thing going around. The real kicker is, the symptoms mimic Omicron. It’s causing a lot of confusion.
Ok so I had negative tests when I finally got a test in (this was the issue I stated before back on the 28th) -- so any info on what this bronchial infection is like? Because I don't know if it was covid or something just that strong hitting me. Minor minor chills. Issues with temp regulation. No Fever (clocked a lot of 99's till it drop to 97.8). But to this day I feel like I got punched in the chest.

It takes a bit to get over. In fact, people I know with Omicron got well faster than this mess.

Our PCR officially still coming back positive (as expected). So we’re stuck here another 4 days. Moved flights to the 12th.
Silver lining: our 10 day ISO is finally up tomorrow so we’ll be able to actually roam the resort for a few days and end this never-ending vacation on a high note.
Down side: apparently there’s a tropical storm that may become a cyclone heading our way. Potentially will hit Fiji on Monday. Heavy rains expected from today through all of next week, whether it hits or not.

So that’s cool. 🤦🏻♀️
What a rollercoaster of a trip/situation. Well hopefully y'all can make the best of it, and get outta there on the 12th.

Finally got my PCR results back. Positive but that's no surprise. At least it wasn't a false positive. 7 days for results is insane though. Even with the holiday.

pretty sure this is what I've been dealing with since 12/27. it's getting better, but the cough just doesn't go away!
My (22 yr. old) nephew has had it too since late November, he's had a lot of coughing spells since then, at least during Christmas. It was probably from Respiratory Syncytial Virus - when I take COVID tests at a city-run facility here (in NYC) they also test for RSV as well as influenza A and B now.
