Agreed. Weed smells delicious smelling like weed. Ketchup is just fucking gross.
There's a particular smell that McDonald's ketchup has that makes me sick to my stomach. It is probably because when I worked there when I 15 years old, I always had to fill them up or was constantly cleaning up ketchup for some reason, but that smell isn't right.

Bivalent boosted with Pfizer, completing the trilogy for me after the initial J&J and the Moderna booster. Looking forward to the prequel trilogy next, then maybe a sequel series that contains a bunch of miscellaneous spin-offs.

The waiting is driving me nuts. I got shot 4 two weeks before Bonnaroo and then caught COVID at Bonnaroo, so I'm looking at late November for maximum booster effectiveness.

Total vaccine FOMO right now.
What’s the effectiveness window? I got it in June too.

My partner just tested positive for the first time ever 6 days after getting her bivalent booster, so that's unfortunate timing before it could really kick in, but she's gonna have super-immunity in about a week.
I had a bit of a scary reaction the other night after getting mine. Had some chest tightness that was reason enough for me to walk over to the fire station in my neighborhood. My heart rate and oxygen were normal but my blood pressure was spiking a bit, which didn't happen with the previous shots, so I guess my body just doesn't like Pfizer's magic microchips. Normalized after about 2 hours. And I thought I was so cool for completing the trilogy...

Oh shit. Hopefully your girl has light symptoms.
That Pfizer microchip must be making your body work. Hopefully this was the worst of it.

I had weird heart things going on for 2-3 weeks after getting my third shot (all Moderna) last November. Given that a peer reviewed or preprint study posted by Dr. Monica Gandhi found that recovering from Omicron is the equivalant of receiving a booster, I'm not particularly worried.
I'm going in for a basic check-up this week and will discuss the wisdom of getting another mRNA shot after what happened last time.
I hate coming off like an anti-vaxxer, and the vaccines are absolutely safe for the vast majority of people, but given my personal experience last time, I'm inclined to wait for Covaxin to be approved for use in the U.S., since it has a very traditional formulation and has not been linked to risk of heart issues.
I have a 8 day week on schedule so I can't get my 4th shot yet but it seems like the Omnicron variant boost actually was effective bc I had two contact points and tested negative from previous jobs. I am the only one on the site that regularly wears a mask at this point, I'm not worried about a week of work, but I know too that getting the shot's (flu and covid) right afterwards is the smarter decision so I can take a few days off.

I'm still wearing an N95 in all public indoor spaces, including public transportation and music festival porta-potties, haven't dined indoors since June 2021 (right after my original two-shot series), and haven't been to an indoor concert or movie since the fall of 2019.
FWIW, I saw my primary care physician yesterday to deal with a range of issues and discussed what happened with my three Moderna shots last year -- I had only the expected side effects which passed quickly with the first two shots, but had an irregular heartbeat and tightness in my chest occasionally for 2-3 weeks after my November booster.
I told him that I wanted to get an Omicron-specific booster, but was concerned due to what happened last time. He said that due to a few factors -- my having had an Omicron infection in June, three Moderna shots last year, the lack of severity of Omicron compared to previous variants, and new vaccines on the way -- that I could hold off for now, but should get a booster if a new, more serious variant emerges.
I really hope that Covaxin is approved for use in the U.S. soon. It's an old school, inactive virus-based vaccine just like most flu shots, and because it's based upon the whole virus and not just the spike protein, it's designed to work more effectively against all current and future variants, because mutations to the spike protein won't hinder it's effectiveness.
On day 11 of recovery. Basically fought it myself since my last booster was in November of 21. Get a booster if you can yall. 1 day of minor symptoms (or none at all) compared to 4-5 of headache hell is worth it.

Back to 100% and super boosted now. But thanks pal

My MD is worthless so I'm interested in this since I had Covid in June. I think I'm going to get my flu and hold on booster for now.

My best friend got the new booster on 9/21 and tested positive today. She got exposed on Saturday. The "it takes 2 weeks before the booster is effective" window is real, y'all.
