I think they are going to give it their best shot just because I feel like this would be a difficult one to reschedule given the artists' schedules. I wouldn't feel safe about it happening until like Tuesday the week of, but if they do cancel, I feel like they had no other choices. What do you think, Radius Claus ?
I'd be shocked if it doesn't move forward as planned. They put together the strongest press release I've seen in a long time today (which I'm sure many of you have seen, but here it is).
I would also be surprised, though, if all the artists made the trip. I can't imagine where all they are coming from.
So Druid , do people have to have a fever to be contagious for the normal flu? And people can show no signs for up to two weeks with Corona and give it away? Are these things true? There is so much information being spewed everywhere all the time that I don't even remember what I once knew as fact.
You don't have to have a fever to be contagious with the normal flu or the Coronavirus. You can be completely asymptomatic and contagious. You can have coronavirus for up to two weeks and not know it. During this two weeks you are contagious. In fact, they are finding that with Covid-19, you are more contagious in the early stages than in the late stages. This is why it is more difficult to break the chain of transmission.
I was traveling to 2 different cities to see Pearl Jam, 5 and 8 hour drives. Had holidays booked around it. Had tickets to Coachella. Today kinda sucks.

We're also going to Rome in May and now with their full travel ban, and the possibility of other countries restricting entry of visitors who've been in Italy from entering their own countries, idk what we're going to do. With the Coachella postponement I'm also nervous for Glasto, which is what we planned our whole trip around.... Shit's getting wild.

It will keep spreading but the rate at which it spreads is also important. The faster it spreads the more likely it will overwhelm healthcare systems and the more people are likely to die.
Really? I mean I’m sure Coachella will try to enforce their radius clause but with all the other fests happening during that timeframe, can they even get away with it? I don’t see it being a total screw over to desert daze. Unless you’re referring to attendance and even then, the crowds are pretty different imo

ive only had to do this for one fest cancellation, and it was a 'sry no refunds' situation. chase didn't really fight me on it. iirc they basically told me that if the promoter eventually credited me back theyd charge me for the chase refund. idk if getting all the perks qualifies as a partial refund, in which case yeah seems like you'd be screwed

At this point it looks we are in a month to month and a half cancellation window. If there's not end in sight by the end of this month I expect May festivals to start getting cut. June festivals have until the beginning of May probably.
