This is so insane to me I can't even make a chart. Y'all seriously think that the mafia did a fake inspector claim day 1, then immediately whacked said fake inspector? When they could have just not whacked anyone and pretended the doctor saved him? Some real galaxy brained shit going on in the town to believe NBF here. LD and NBF are two of your three mafia. The third is controlling the narrative here. Probably Jortles or maddog, possibly rooloo, Rummy, or theo. Anyway, lock my fucking vote on NBF.
You think that’s crazy, but the idea that I’m mafia and drew a giant target on myself by refuting Jaz’s inspector claim doesn’t seem crazy to you? I know that Jaz wasn’t the inspector. I don’t see why he would have faked if he was a townie. If he did, he did a huge disservice to the townsfolk. I definitely think mafia would whack their own to try to make his inspector claim seem credible, especially if they thought it would lead to me getting killed in day 2. Doesn’t seem outrageous to me at all really.
To the point that they'd expect you to be lynched day 2
The conversation was always going to lead to a me vs you runoff, this was in day 1.
If I'm mafia as you claim why would I whack my own knowing I'm probably going to end up in the day 2 runoff.

Because if you whacked Jaz, you could try to save yourself in that runoff by making the argument that I’m the one who was lying.

Let's just entertain that jaz and I are mafia together for a second.
Firstly, we would've self whacked
Secondly, and again- the runoff was likely going to be me vs nbf on day 2. Why would we take that risk?
Thirdly, we would've taken a HUGE risk with the fake reveal only to then kill jaz anyway? If we were so okay with whacking jaz why wouldn't we have just let him die during the lynch?
Fourth(ly?), I would've put the deciding vote on jaz that eventually led to his death
I love how mad dog is so tied up in the self whack theories he neglects the likely scenario where Jaz was the real inspector who was whacked and the fact we should kill NBF rn.

The idea that mafia self-whacked their fake inspector and left the real inspector alive is absolutely laughable, and I'm ashamed of anyone who thinks it's plausible.

I was wondering about this exact thing actually. It isn't technically against the rules to not whack anyone on a given night, right?
So if we are to believe that Mafia orchestrated this whole D1 Fake Inspector Reveal on purpose, wouldn't they opt for no-whack of Jaz--making it look like Doc saved him--rather than voluntarily killing one of their own?
There are a lot of logic hurdles to jump through for me to feasibly arrive at a place where I believe that the Mafia would choose the latter (killing Jaz, their teammate) over the former (killing no one--> Jaz stays alive and looks saved by the Doc, AND then they could use D2 for him to name someone or clear a townie)
Considering you've found the need to respond to my threads as if you are threatened by me I offer you some peace my confused counterpart. May you find peace in your restless soul.

All of the people currently voting for me can’t be mafia so I just want to be on record to say to those people - you’re making a mistake. The mafia knew that people would think I was lying if they left me alive and some of you are doing exactly what they want. I hope you remember that later.
Or they anticipated that people would think something like this and went the way they went.
So now Im playing 4D chess lol
Isn’t the whole point of this game to anticipate what other people are going to think or say and try to use that to win? You’re self-denigrating to deflect from my valid point.

Mafia knew that killing Jaz would create a NBF-Kanye runoff, which means they are confident that they can get town to lynch a town today. They could have left Jaz alive, but that's a risky wildcard because he's the real inspector, and his info could have really changed the discussion for today.
All of the people currently voting for me can’t be mafia
Freudian slip?
Nope. There are four people voting for me. You are mafia. Of the other three, one probably is mafia (although maybe not), two could be in theory (although it’s unlikely since Jaz probably was), but all three can’t be because there aren’t four mafia. Hence, all of the people voting for me can’t be mafia.

Hello I am here. Maybe I misunderstood the implications of locking my vote. I was under the impression that I could still change it if I wanted to, but locking it meant I was okay with the round moving forward with my vote as is. I mainly did so because I was busy doing something outside this morning and didn't think I'd be back by 3pm, but I am. Could anyone explain to me a bit more what locking my vote means/does/comes off as? This is my first time playing mafia on inforoo and otherwise and my first D1 caught me off guard with straight craziness, so I'm struggling with what to make of it.
I honestly lean towards believing Jaz was the real inspector. But I guess the doctor believed NBF? Or if LD was the real doctor and mafia self-whacked that could also explain it. The reason I switched to Kanye and locked was based on the logic that Theo said. They are both going to die so why whack the one person who actually has a chance at being inspector first? It seems like regardless of the decision that is made by us today and tomorrow, we will be heading into D4 with a very good chance that there is only 1 mafia left. All 4 of the people implicated in D1 shenanigans will be dead. I feel like any deal where we can sacrifice 2 townies for 2 mafia works out extremely well in our favor, no?
I'm sorry if locking my vote directly after a switch comes off as sus(picious) but it's really more of a noob mistake and I guess a misunderstanding of what it means. Kanye, if you're town I'm sorry you were implicated in this, but I feel like town can only be sure we're killing 2 mafia if all 4 of you end up dead.

Its suspicious because it implies that you're certain. Usually only mafia or people who are affected lock their vote that early. It just seems like you're trying to push a narrative when you're locking a vote. You might be able to switch idk (potentpotables)
I understand the logic of killing both of us by d4, but also that implies that mafia would even let one of their own die. I would say it is 100% better to lynch the person that is more than likely lying first because nothing in the next day is guaranteed. Hell we could both be town and then we're left just chasing tails.
Right now we need to make the decision to either lynch the person that mafia decided to keep alive or the person that the fake inspector implicated. In any case, the fact that NBF is still alive means that mafia just doesnt care about them

The fact that I’m still alive doesn’t mean mafia doesn’t care about me. It means mafia thought they could use my survival to create confusion.

I really doubt that mafia would rather have a confused town for one day over getting rid of the biggest threat they have in the game

You are drastically oversimplifying. It wouldn’t just be one day. You confuse the town out of the gate and spin that into confusion the whole game. If you can discredit me, it casts doubt on everything I’ve said, particularly that you’re guilty. If I live into day 3, I may or may not have a third name, and you extend that confusion to whatever information I have then. You are trying to use the confusion against me to diffuse me as a threat. It’s clearly working on at least some people so maybe it’s not such a bad strategy.

Yeah I guess that makes sense. But also you could have just planned to say that and spin that narrative too. The #1 thing mafia tries to do is get rid of the inspector. I feel like if mafia actually believed you then we wouldn't be at a standstill to where Im more in danger of being lynched than you. If mafia really wanted to kill you, theyd try to lynch you today. And yet you already said that you dont think anyone voting for you is mafia, except me. It just doesnt add up
