Our plan was to bait the doctor into saving Jaz and then of course LD was the doctor lmao. We just had to die with the lie at that point. I think we also weren't expecting NBF to reveal yet. Crazy game
meant to say "I don't see any reason for the 'real' inspector to NOT come out now if Jaz was faking"
But then this is annoying. What were you saying here? I still have no earthly idea why NBF came out when she did if she was real. So what we lose LD in day 1. She risked being whacked on night 1. Idk. This ones frustrating because it looks like Rooloo wanted the real inspector outed, which is what a mafia Jaz would have been aiming for with his fake.
How believable do you think it would have been if Jaz got whacked on night one and then I came out on day 2 or 3 with, “hey, y’all, Jaz wasn’t the real inspector - I am!”? Even if he hadn’t been whacked, I was pretty sure I was going to be facing a huge battle to get people to believe me if I waited a day or two, which I still got when I came out when I did, but I had to make a decision.

Yeah.. idk. I think you were in a tough spot either way. I want to say I'd lay low in that situation in effort to take away an element of control that they have when they know who their opponent is, but I can't really know what I would have done with all unexpected that pressure in the moment.
Jortles if we had killed Theo instead of you would you have gone for rooloo or Rummy? We had considered leaving the two cleared townies in there could sow more confusion.
Well I first would have thought myself into a depression.
Obviously, I said I was sussssss of Rummy and when Dan asked for clarification, I opted not to give any because I didn't wan tot let mafia know what I was thinking going into Day 5. I also thought if I kept it that way and was whacked it would mean Rummy was mafia since I was most sussssss of her.
However, If you kept me... I would have had two thoughts.
1. They kept me for a reason. Everyone had a town read on me, so it would come down to my vote. So obviously Rooloo left this scenario for me to vote rummy.
2. The only way I would have voted rummy would have been if I went with the classic "Rummy is either mafia or is the reason for towns loss due to being so uncontroversial all game." and voted for her there. Like I would have felt much better about tipping my cap to a Rooloo win than Rummy given how they both played.
End of the day I think I vote Rooloo there and mafia wins.
Considering you've found the need to respond to my threads as if you are threatened by me I offer you some peace my confused counterpart. May you find peace in your restless soul.
I feel like we just lost the super bowl though so I want to reflect a bit more.
One thing NBF did perfectly was illustrate how LD needed to be the Doctor given Jaz's death. It was honestly a perfect defense and I don't understand how us Vanillas remained so skeptical. We put forward this scenario where Doctor made this monumental mistake.... ridiculous.
But even having said that. By D4, Rummy could have slid by regardless of which Inspector was telling the truth... I still think there was too much emphasis put on that when it was obvious that a third member would distance regardless.
Potent was PISSED at town for this, y'all. Haha. I'm surprised he hasn't scolded the town about this yet. He said he wanted to.

Her reveal itself felt sorta off to me when it happened, the casual way she was just like “well I don’t know if this is the best way to do it, but here I am,” after being MIA from the convo for a good while post Jaz reveal. So idk.
This statement cracked me up when I read it. Jaz made his inspector post while I was in the middle of a nap.

You know I was just tryna poke holes at this point. apologies!
I was playing a risky game by being so neutral, i realized this and expressed my concern over it to Kanye and Jaz, in fact. But given the weirdness of D1/2 and how the Fake Reveal/killing Doc thing all went down, I recognized that it was important I didn't firmly settle in a "I believe ____ Inspector" camp too soon or too rigidly until the very end, because I needed to see where others' minds went on that and how i could best manipulate given their stances.

Should I be offended?
lol fuck no you were mafia and very much not unhelpful town.
I guess this means that now I should probably start taking Jortles seriously and actually listen to his ideas. 2020 is a wild year.
I think I've played around 12 games now, and I think this is the 3rd game where I'm happy with my performance. I can't imagine there are many worse games in history than the one where I was raging for like a week straight in a battle with Zolah.

I did consider asking about you night 2 because of your neutrality, but you did such a good job of sounding sincere that I decided you weren’t the most suspicious one to me.

Oh, and I'm in for next game
Just want to keep coming back to this though... how would it have changed Day 5 even if we knew NBF was inspector. It was still going to be a coin flip at the end.
I think Day 5s are really a coin flip no matter who it is. There's too much bullshit that goes on in the rest of the game to rely on much that's concrete by the time D5 rolls around.

This. There aren’t any good logical arguments to make at this point, it’s just going with gut and hoping.

I was NERVOUS to keep you around night 2, but the boys convinced me it'd be fine (and ultimately, it was). I thought it was maybe 5-10% chance you'd ask about me, but that's certainly higher than the 0% if we'd whacked you that night. But as Kanye said, we had to die with our lie at that point

I love how mad dog is so tied up in the self whack theories he neglects the likely scenario where Jaz was the real inspector who was whacked and the fact we should kill NBF rn.
Gd I was close. It was so clearly Jaz. THERE WAS NO OTHER DOCTOR!!!

i think I'm 2/3 (made it once as town and mafia, lost as town)

One thing that Teddy Flair suggested and I made the exec decision to do last night was create "The Dead Thread" - a PM between me, Jortles, Dan, Teddy, and Maddog. All of the townies that died. I know personally when I am town, it kills me to have to wait to the end of the game. And, it's always easy to say you would have done something but this lets you put it on the record.
So I am officially proposing a rule allowing a Dead Thread (under threat of 10 game suggested suspension from ref to commissioner Jaz if you interfere with the living) to be created at the ref's discretion. It was a lot of fun to talk with you guys analyzing the game.
Also no one going over my whack after being the only person to really seem to believe nbf was a bummer!
Tbf, we didn't whack you because of this. Because once Jaz and Kanye were both gone, it didn't matter that much who people believed--what mattered was me hiding well enough. As the end proved, believing it was Jaz/Kanye actually distanced me BETTER (e.g. since Theo thought it was me with LD and NBF lol).

Another rule discussion - that possibly needs to go in the rules thread. Does the mafia have to whack someone at night? I say yes, I'll argue vociferously for it, but if others say no I understand majority rules.
The Jortles who was like "we need to lynch the living inspector D3 within 25 minutes"? LOL.
umm excuse you just saw this. I think she was referring to the Jortles that randomly called out Kanye as suspicious at the end of day 1, drove the bus on making sure kanye was lynched day 2. Locked along with everyone else on NBF day 3. Voted Rummy day 4 for while pinning Theo and Rooloo as my Town reads.
Here's a question for Mafia. We lynch Dan on Day 3. Who do you whack on night 3?

just want to continue to shout this from the rooftops.
