Dragon Energy over Theo - DE’s bottom lines are so much stronger you don’t really have to compare the top lines, but if you do he’s got Grace Jones.
Bing over Jaz - this one was tough. I’m really not feeling Bing’s top lines, and Jaz’s top lines are great with a nice mix of styles, but Bing pulls away with the undercard.
Cdevaney over Pablo - this one was hard too. The prompt was to “curate the lineup for Coachella.” I thought Pablo emphasized electronic music the way a Coachella lineup should, and cdevaney had way too much emphasis on guitars, but having legit headliners and second lines saved him.
Fred over Monie - Monie booked a pretty good Bonnaroo lineup.
Pepe over Kanye - Pepe has a Coachella lineup. Also, large scale art installations by Virgil Abloh would be lollllll
Todd over Kim - another close one, came down to the fact Todd had a little more electronic music but neither of them really have enough
Jake over Sang - Jake has a better genre mix
King T over James - James did you just give up halfway through free agency?
I welcome your counter argument if you think anything I said is untrue 🥺😎
Your lineup is better but some of your rationale is pretty funny. “Think of the guests Bleachers could bring out!!” Just because they worked together doesn’t mean Jack Antonoff is bringing out Taylor Swift.
I think I went in that direction because part of the appeal to current day Sylvan Esso is they do those superjam type shows so I was pointing out that Bleachers could do something similar.
Sigur Ros >>>> Drake, even if they're "not a headliner"
I could have just had like Grace Jones headline, but it's unrealistic. Last time Sigur Ros played coachella they were billed behind Phoenix, The xx, and The Postal Service.

Kanye - Atoms - Iggy would also be somewhat realistic. I think I just don't like Drake very much haha

I agree that even my subs are bigger than Sigur Ros.

I've already said this multiple times, but there are very few acts I would rather see close the main stage on the last day of any festival, especially Coachella.

Tristan’s arguments are very inconsistent. He’ll say some of his acts are more realistically billed when its convenient for him but won’t for other ie Bicep being 6th, Atoms for Peace being a coHL

I saw Sigur Ros at MPP in 2017, it was a great show but even there the place being more than half empty threw off a weird vibe. Having them headline a deserted main stage would not be anywhere near as cool as people are pretending it would be. I generally support the idea that it doesn’t matter how many other people are at a show, but at some point being at a deserted show feels awkward. Related note: they didn’t exactly pack out the Outdoor Stage when they played in 2013.

AFP is billed one spot higher than they were in 2010

I could make HAIM a coHL and say the same thing.
I wouldn’t say haim cohl is that crazy, they were already second on their day. I have AFP second on their day behind the biggest artist of the last decade. They’re much more realistic to play second on their day than New Order, Fly Lo or Mac Miller.

I would.
what about Atoms For Peace?
I also love that trantsgiving has Thom solo billed in the exact same place I have AFP

Atoms for Peace is fine because its kinda one of these black boxes similar to Odd Future where you can kinda say "well you dont know what the setlist would actually be for a headliner show, they could do ____" and that variance would make it a more hyped set

I would have made AFP and Iggy coheadliners, but then again some of you need your precious eyes protected from seeing Drake headline a major multi-genre music festival.
