HAIM gets way to much hate but then again, they're getting pushed to sub/headline spots when I don't think it's necessarily warranted (though I do think if this album's great that it is?). Never seen them live tho, maybe they also need a little bit more experience with those kinds of shows?

First of all, I'm not going to pretend what I'm saying is objective, like tЯist♡n has. I'm going to compare acts based on where they are on the schedule, not at random like Dragon Energy has to make himself look better.
Beyonce vs. Kanye - It's Queen B. Her Coachella performance is legendary. Dragon Energy also conceded this to me, so I don't really need to say more Mac Miller vs. Grace Jones - Grace Jones is a cooler name to have here, but I'm a big Mac fan and I would probably enjoy his set more Neon Indian vs. A$AP Rocky - Rocky is the better name here, however Neon Indian would still be a fun show Alabama Shakes vs. Bleachers - Alabama Shakes, not even a contest Maggie Rogers vs. Orbital - I know very little about Orbital and electronic music in general but Maggie Rogers is a much bigger name and is not at her peak yet Thundercat vs. BICEP - Both overbilled, I would much rather be at Thundercat anyways
Bjork vs. Drake - I don't think I need to explain this one Flying Lotus vs. Atoms For Peace - Yeah Thom Yorke takes this one Black Star vs. Grizzly Bear - I'm a big Grizzly Bear fan, but Black Star is a much more interesting name Weezer vs. Charli XCX - I would much rather see Charli, but just a reminder that Charli is between Madeon and Lane 8 at the end of the third line on this years actual lineup Sylvan Esso vs. Royal Blood - Royal Blood is a lot of fun live, but doesn't come close to Sylvan Esso Cat Power vs. Nicolas Jaar - Nicolas Jaar easily, but both of these acts are playing during headliners and it's easier to miss Cat Power for Bjork than miss Drake for Nico (where I would be)
Sigur Ros vs. Iggy and the Stooges - Sigur Ros is one of my favorite bands of all time, and while I respect Iggy I would 100% be at Sigur Ros Beach House vs. Chris Stapleton - Don't care about Chris Stapleton at all, care a lot about Beach House Big Thief vs. Fleet Foxes - I overbilled Big Thief pretty hard here, Fleet Foxes easily here New Order vs. Public Enemy - Both important and influential acts in their own genres, but I'm a much bigger New Order fan Gang of Four vs. Sly Stone - Gang of Four not even a debate Two Door Cinema Club vs. Playboi Carti - I would have more fun at a TDCC show, but I wouldn't be at either of these sets based on the schedules anyways
Here's how I would spend each day at each fest:
Friday: Shannon and the Clams > Otoboke Beaver > Hop Along > Cashmere Cat > Deerhoof > Cibo Matto > Mild High Club/Bat for Lashes > Neon Indian/Alvvays > St. Paul > Mac Miller > Alabama Shakes/Thundercat > Beyonce
Saturday: The Chats > Men I Trust > IDLES > PUP > The Growlers > Young Fathers > Madness > Black Star > Sylvan Esso > Flying Lotus > BADBADNOTGOOD > Bjork
Sunday: Fontaines D.C. > Rolling Blackouts Coastal Fever > Matmos > Gang of Youths > 070 Shake > 100 gecs > Big Thief > We Were Promised Jetpacks > Gang of Four > Beach House > New Order > Sigur Ros
Friday: Jean Grae > 070 Shake > Dave > Jose Gonzalez > Of Montreal > ASAP Rocky > Orbital > Grace Jones > The Rapture > Kanye
Saturday: Joy Orbison > Sigrid > ? > Antony and the Johnsons > SOPHIE > Grizzly Bear > Royal Blood > Atoms For Peace > Charli XCX > Nicolas Jaar
Sunday: Dead Can Dance > Fleet Foxes > Sly Stone > Deerhunter > Public Enemy > Iggy and the Stooges
I would have made AFP and Iggy coheadliners, but then again some of you need your precious eyes protected from seeing Drake headline a major multi-genre music festival.
Drake's music is (at best) bland and he seems kinda creepy irl; I don't have a problem saying that his being on a lineup makes me significantly less likely to like it
You have been given the opportunity to curate the lineup for Coachella in competition with nineteen (19) others.
Theo has 1.5 headliners and basically no electronic music. Pretending Sigur Ros could headline is probably the single worst billing in the entire tournament. How can people honestly say he curated a better Coachella lineup? Maybe you prefer it as a music festival, but the set up was to make a Coachella lineup.

If they were to play now, Beyonce would be the better show for sure. At their peak, it’s Kanye. Saint Pablo was far and wide the best show I’ve ever seen.

I completely understand that Sigur Ros isn't a headliner, but are you saying that Bjork isn't a headliner?

last time Bjork played a major US fest she went from opening for Mumford and sons to opening for Jack Johnson.

In 2021, no she’s not. I think she’d be passable as a third headliner given the format, but no way she’d be the second biggest headliner at Coachella.

Most people miss this point. Maybe they cannot make the difference. 🤷🏻♂️
