Inforoo Influencer Totally Robbed of TIN 2016
I'm going to break down my match-up VS Theo objectively.
Kanye < Beyonce - Kanye definitely is the better artist, but I'll give this one to queen B after taking into account Christian Kanye. Iggy & The Stooges = Bjork - This one is hard to compare, I assume the inforoo hivemind will think bjork is better, but iggy w/ the stooges is a rarer act and is also great so I'll say theyre equal. Drake > Sigur Ros - Sigur Ros is not a headliner, sure they're probably objectively better but Drake has more hits than anyone in this competition and is a legit headliner at Coachella. He'd probably be more fun anyway. Grace Jones = New Order - I personally think Grace Jones is better but this board overrates New Order a bit so Grace Jones being the much rarer act pushes her to equal imo. Charli xcx > Mac Miller - Charli has much better music than Mac Miller, Mac was moving in a cool direction before his untimely death, but Charli has been busting out immaculate and foreward thinking pop music since 2016 with the vroom vroom ep. Mac Miller also received a popularity bump from simply dying. Chris Stapleton > Flying Lotus - Flying Lotus is not a Coachella sub and he's also known to be very shitty live half the time. I might have personal bias but I saw him in December and he played for like 5 minutes and then just left cause he was too fucked up. Stapleton is a professional with great bluesy country, and he's big enough to sub at Coachella. ASAP Rocky = Beach House - Beach house probably has better music but again, theyre booked higher than they should be and lets be honest, every beach house song is good but every beach house song sounds the same. Rocky makes legit interesting rap music and he's probably big enough to sub, plus hes extremely good looking. Nicolas Jaar > Weezer - This doesn't really need to be explained. Nicolas Jaar is way better than Weezer. Both acts are booked higher than they would be at actual Coachella so thats a bit of a wash. Fleet Foxes > Maggie Rogers - Fleet Foxes are one of the best indie bands of the last decade. Maggie Rogers is good but she's again overbilled and simply not as good as FF. Just realized I forgot Atoms For Peace lol Atoms For Peace > Black Star - no brainer, Atoms for Peace is way better. Atoms for PEace probably should have matched up with New Order and they would have won that as well imo as a much rarer act that's at least as good as New Order. Orbital > Diplo - self explanatory. Diplo had some cool stuff early in his career but Orbital is legendary. Grizzly Bear > Jessie Reyez - uhhh I dont know who Jessie Reyez is but I can't imagine her being better than Grizzly Bear Public Enemy > Thundercat - I like Thundercat but he's way over billed again, he's not a second liner. Public Enemy is one of the most important rap groups of all time. Bleachers = Sylvan Esso - Bleachers are a second line act. Sylvan Esso isn't. Sylvan Esso has a chance of lots of cool guests, but Jack Antanoff produced like every album this decade so guests at Bleachers sets could be insane. Puscifer < Gang Of Four - I'll give this one up because I like Gang Of Four more, but Gang Of Four is a third line act at Coachella at best. Tiesto = Armin Van Buren - I think Tiesto is better and has a more legendary history at Coachella as the first EDM act to play the main stage, but I'll say theyre equal for the sake of cheese. BICEP > Edward Sharp - Edward Sharp isn't good and Bicep is very good. Playboi Carti > Two Door Cinema Club - seems explanatory if you're trying to have the most fun you'd go to Carti over TDCC Antony & The Johnsons = Cat Power - I think Antony is better and more rare personally but I'll say theyre about even for the sake of fairness.

Theo - the undercard is impressively stacked. Jaz - Bing has my favorite headliners and subs, the best poster, and probably the 2nd best lineup overall. that's too bad.
Pablo - not terribly impressed with either. Fred - Monie could have the greatest lineup ever and I still would not vote for her.
Pepe Silvia - they got Daft Punk and you have to respect that. they were also the only lineup (that I saw) that has Meg Myers. double respect. Kim Smoltz - this the first time I've liked a Kim Smoltz lineup. Nick Cave really butters my biscuit. but tie goes to the lineup without Jaden Smith (seriously is it a requirement to have Jaden Smith on your lineup?)
Sang - Lizzo is a deal-breaker. King T - i flipped a coin.

Your lineup is better but some of your rationale is pretty funny. “Think of the guests Bleachers could bring out!!” Just because they worked together doesn’t mean Jack Antonoff is bringing out Taylor Swift.

Also, 20 years worth of the best DJs in the world have played Coachella. The number of people who chose to ignore that and book Idris Elba is pretty amazing.
