I think in the current climate of festivals. I don't think niche acts are gonna top festivals in the future anymore but are only gonna do boutique festivals as a result of an ever changing market (even as much as we even want to). I don't think it's possible anymore to let the Björk's, NiN's or Sufjan's of this world let a major festival of 90 (?)k people headline anymore. The only exception I can think of is Radiohead. Those sorta acts are pure prestige acts because they're so rare... and I think it's kind of a shame but money has to roll aswell, I guess. I think (here) it's completely fair to have those sorta rare acts headline another day when you already have 2 decent headliners. Idk.
To be clear I think you did a great job with your headliners. You have two for sure headliners and one day that's a stretch but would still be awesome. I brought you up as an example of someone who did a good job of getting creative. Sufjan and Kacey are pretty different as far as music goes but compliment each other really well.
Oh yeah, no worries. Was just speaking generally of people gettng tacky over small headliners. I think in comparison to the real world, I think it actually kinda worked out. As a festival you're always gonna have to compete with other festivals and are gonna have to work with agents to get bands/artists booked. Having Sigur Ros, SZA or someone else small headline happens to the best of festivals. If it's intentional or not to book those acts and place them where they place them is up to them, I think that happens in the real world aswell. And then sometimes festivals go for the easy route and book an act that's gonna attract a lot of people but isn't necessarily all that special like Muse or whatever and sometimes things don't really work out as it should idk. And sometimes everything works out pretty fine and you have a great set of 3 big headliners like you have for example.
Not attacking anyone with the examples I'm giving here btw, I'm just giving examples.

On a purely personal level, I don't really care at all about realism in any of these drafts, and it won't be reflected in any of my votes. I might think "huh, that's weird" if something is over/underbilled, but the fun part of it being a literal fantasy draft is that sort of pragmatic or financial consideration is thrown out the window to an extent. It's not like I wouldn't pay real money to go to Theo's fest just because Sigur Ros isn't technically a headliner or anything
Others definitely feel differently, and that's 100% cool too
There have been people who switched votes (cause I had 13-5 so far)? If you switch votes, please quote yourself. I'm not gonna count right before the end of every round.

Realism should for sure be a factor and maybe the only one. Not to say you should win if you have the most big acts on your lineup but the most realistically sized lineup that also has some “oh shit” acts and enough to fill out each day. Also, taste should play a role. If someone wants to “deduct points” bc I have Death Grips and Mitski overbilled, that’s fine. I did it to shine a light on them and knew it was a risk.
I'd also like to hear some feedback on my lineup, especially from those who voted for Monie over me.
For my tastes, your undercard doesn't do it for me and RHCP is a negative. Rosalia/Tyler/Gaga are very solid and win over Paul/Jay-Z/Jack because I've already seen Macca and Jack White, but in your second and third lines of all your days there are 6-7 acts I'd be excited for, and they're almost all acts I'm less interested in than the ones on Monie's second and thirds.

Also it never really got mentioned, but should we count prickles votes? Unless it was some joke that went over our heads, he’s clearly voting with bad intentions and just hopping in to troll again.

Holy shit, been wasting all this time fighting for DE when Fred is somehow losing to Monie. Her top lines are a who’s who of people who haven’t made interesting music in like a decade, and also Kraftwerk. Do you guys really need to hear Paul McCartney’s Jimi Hendrix story again? That Sunday in particular is booty. I was goofing on her that she had booked a Bonnaroo lineup but that Sunday is a bad day at Lolla.
Same thought. Your fest had the 3rd most points on my scale. You were eliminated way too early. I'm up against Jortles, who I had 4th. So I guess I can't complain too much. I mean, I think mine is better than his, but no one ever likes my lineups here.
