Headliners: Paul - Jay Z - Jack White is a nice trio of HLs, sure. But it's all male, and two rock headliners are not a thing for Coachella anymore. Whereas I have, Lady Gaga, RHCP w/ Frusciante, Rosalia, and Tyler. Very balanced gender-wise, and genre-wise. Rosalia or Tyler might not be headliner themselves yet, but as co-HLs, they're very strong IMO. Also RHCP w/ Frusciante is much better than Jack White.
Second lines: Rap/hiphop: Chance the Rapper + M.I.A. + Cardi B + Megan Thee Stallion + J Balvin combined are much better than Travis Scott + NERD + Gucci Gang + Tory Lanez combined. R&B: H.E.R. is fine. But compared to Miguel and Summer Walker? Indie/Rock: Vampire Weekend, The Postal Service, The Stone Roses, Them Crooked Vultures (lots of niche & rare acts) versus The xx (this is def good, ngl), Echo, Violent Femmes, The Black Keys, MGMT, Phantogram (bands that play in Kaaboo Del Mar or BottleRock). Electronic: Kraftwerk is amazing, sure. But I have Autechre, which is a comparably important act that performs rarely. I don't have cheese EDM like Guetta or Armin, but I have Black Eyed Peas that is comparably cheesy. But just imagine 1 hour of hit after hit by BEP. It surely is gonna be a really fun set. I don't know who Bazzi is, but not a 2nd line act. OH, I also have Danny Elfman.
Third lines: I have Groove Armada, 2manydjs, Jarvis Cocker (of Pulp), Neko Case, Scissor Sisters, The Walkmen, and on and on. If you're into a bit more obscure stuff, you can enjoy Throbbing Gristle (they're pioneers of industrial music) and Cornelius, they play against the HLs too. My electronic acts here are really good with Eric Prydz, Roni Size, and Sven Vath. Compare all these to Monie's third line acts such as Duke Dumont, Marian Hill, DJ Snake (which is underbilled), Minus the Bear, Flogging Molly, The Head and The Heart (aka more Kaaboo acts). I also don't think Dave or Idris Elba or Sam Feldt are a third liner at Coachella.
Other: Some of the acts I like from the rest of her lineup are Ty Segall, Shamir, Pabllo Vittar, The Afghan Whigs (not a last line act!!!), and Ibeyi. Lots of wonky billing in this part, but not a big deal. In comparison, some I wanna highlight from mine are Mavis Staples, Kimbra, CSS, Sudan Archives, Seu Jorge, Anna Calvi, Metronomy, Perfume, Parov Stelar, Phosphorescent, and many more. I think my electronic acts are very very strong and there is something for everyone.
Schedules: Monie Fri: Calypso > Ty Segall > Dave > Yo La Tengo > H.E.R. > The xx > Jagwar Ma > Paul McCartney. I'd check Nightmares on Wax in Yuma, but other than that nothing that interests me. Sat: The Afghan Whigs > ??? > NERD > Kraftwerk > Pabllo Vittar. So much down time on this day. Sun: Matthew Dear > John Talabot > Gotye > Neko Case. Nothing that interests me after this. Sam Feldt (which is a 2nd line act), and She & Him as opening acts of their stages don't make sense at all. Sasha and John Digweed might be too big for Yuma.
Fred Fri: Sudan Archives > Miami Horror > Joy Orbison > CSS > Tove Lo > Megan Thee Stallion > The Stone Roses OR Claptone OR Kode9 > The Bug > Tyler, the Creator OR 2manydjs > J Balvin OR Groove Armada > Rosalía OR Cornelius Sat: Boogarins > Metronomy > DJ Harvey > Mon Laferte > Seu Jorge > Scuba > Neko Case > M.I.A. > Danny Elfman OR Anitta > Vampire Weekend OR Luke Vibert > Placebo > Lady Gaga OR Jarvis Cocker OR Autechre. Sun: Ellen Allien > Wild Beasts > Avalon Emerson > Phosphorescent OR Bombay Bicycle Club > The Walkmen > Ben UFO > Caifanes > Miguel > Mew > Cardi B OR Perfume > Them Crooked Vultures OR Scissor Sisters > Black Eyed Peas > Throbbing Gristle OR RHCP OR Eric Prydz.
TL;DR version: Please look beyond the headliners and 2nd lines. Please look at the schedules (it can make a huge difference) and diversity and depth in the undercard. And don't forget that this is a Coachella draft, not Bonnaroo or Lollapalooza or anything else. Let me know of any acts that I can get you familiarized with.

I'd also like to hear some feedback on my lineup, especially from those who voted for Monie over me.
It was a really tough choice for me, but I ended going for Monie because everything I wanted to see there was more balanced over the 3 days. I have almost no interest in your Sunday.
Any acts that you're familiar with on Sunday or anybody I can advertise you?

For my tastes, your undercard doesn't do it for me and RHCP is a negative. Rosalia/Tyler/Gaga are very solid and win over Paul/Jay-Z/Jack because I've already seen Macca and Jack White, but in your second and third lines of all your days there are 6-7 acts I'd be excited for, and they're almost all acts I'm less interested in than the ones on Monie's second and thirds.
Want to mention that this RHCP w/ John Frusciante, who recently joined the band after 10 years. RHCP made significantly better music when Frusciante was/is with the band. Are there any names you specifically liked on her undercard over mine? We also share quite a lot of names in the undercard. What are some of the names that didn't do much for you comparing 2nd lines?

you were one of my sleeper picks but it’s hard to sway me off Paul Jay-Z Jack White. Rosalia and Tyler look nice, Gaga is bucket list and RHCP w Frusciante rounds it off pretty well imo. There’s just a handful of subs I personally don’t care for and I think those could be more beefed up (J Balvin, Summer Walker, Chance).
But what about the rest of the lineup? I think there's a sizable difference when you go beyond the first two lines..

Tell us more about Them Crooked Vultures
Them Crooked Vultures is an American-English rock supergroup formed in Los Angeles in 2009 by Josh Homme (of Queens of the Stone Age and Kyuss) on lead vocals and guitar, John Paul Jones (of Led Zeppelin) on bass and keyboards, and Dave Grohl (of Foo Fighters and Nirvana) on drums and backing vocals.
Below is a very solid live performance by them. Need I say more?

Wow, that seems cooler than Jack White and the Black Keys combined!

I’d also say you’re hiding a bunch of cool stuff in the bottom two lines Sunday that are probably underbilled. Factory Floor, Ben UFO, Amelie Lens, Ellen Allien and Gang Gang Dance would all be pretty high on my list, and I saw Pete Tong do an afternoon set last year that hit just right for an afternoon set. Would definitely rather see him do his thing than watch Idris Elba.

I like RHCP, Burna Boy, Bombay Bicycle Club, Phosphorescent, and I've heard of Them Crooked Vultures but I've never really listened to them, but I don't like Cardi B or Black Eyed Peas all that much. I'm indifferent on Miguel, Summer Walker and Eric Prydz

I don't care about RHCP with or without John Frusciante. They just do nothing for me. I've mentioned my thoughts on yallses headliners, so regarding lines 2/3, these are the acts I'm interested in:
Monie: Travis, the XX, HER, Dave, Nightmares on Wax, Kraftwerk, NERD, Broken Bells, Vic Mensa, the Black Keys, MGMT, Minus the Bear Fred: Groove Armada, 2manydjs, Vampire Weekend, Chance, Autechre, MIA, Cardi B, Miguel.
Of Monie's acts listed above, I've seen one - the XX, who I've seen once. Of yours, I've seen Cardi B, Miguel twice, VW, and Chance like 8 times. Monie is the clear winner for me in lines 2/3.
Of all the acts after the first three lines on each day, I'm only even passingly familiar with sixteen acts on your entire lineup. On Monie's I know at least thirty. I'm not doing deep dives into anyone's lower lines when I've already been convinced by the upper tiers. It would appear that your target market is people who have a deeper knowledge of music than I - and unfortunately that works against you here.
When approaching these lineups, my bottom line is just which fest would I rather go to. I'm not taking into account gender or genre diversity, nor which is more "Coachella", nor which acts are better or more rare if I don't know them or like them. Everyone has different criteria; mine is mostly just which one I like best.

Based on the names you counted, you'd definitely like TCV, The Vaccines, The Walkmen, and Caifanes on the rock side. Poliça is a nice synth pop band too. If you like electronic music, John Talabot during Cardi B, he is a really good DJ. With all these names, you should have a solid day with minimum down time based on the schedule.

I'm completely fine with both how I vote and how I spend my time, and see no need to defend either. My apologies if any of this displeases you.

I can't follow something though, so you've seen more names in my 2nd/3rd lines compared to Monie's, but you like hers more? I'm confused.
Also very surprised that you don't have any interest for Danny Elfman, J Balvin, Anitta, Eric Prydz, or Scissor Sisters. I'd think these acts are right up your alley.

Monie: Paul McCartney, The XX +, Echo & the Bunnymen, N.E.R.D., Jack White, BLACKPINK
Fred: Tyler the Creator +, The Stone Roses, The Postal Service +, Mavis Staples, Vampire Weekend, Danny Elfman +, M.I.A., Camera Obscura, Red Chili Peppers, The Walkmen +
listed acts i would see. + = gold star pick (i super like)
I really didn't look below the fourth line because it just ends up being a bunch of free agents that everyone else is already has crossing over.

Yeah, I'd prefer to see acts I haven't seen over acts I already have. That's not your fault but like I said I'm just voting based on which fest I'd rather go to. I appreciate you fighting the good fight for your lineup though!

Interesting. With the same ideology, you know 16 names in my undercard versus 30 names in hers, probably meaning that you have a better chance seeing more acts that you haven't seen in my lineup. Fun is guaranteed if you trust me.
Anyways, I can't seem to win over some of you no matter what/how I pick in each draft. I appreciate your acknowledgment.

I'd rather see acts I haven't seen but know I like over acts I haven't seen or heard of but might like because Fred thinks I will lol.
But also I mean it's not like you can debate your way into changing what someone else likes so I hope you're not taking it personally if you can't win people over; you just asked for me to explain my vote so I did. I like most of your lineups in these drafts - I'm sure I'd have plenty of fun at your fest as well.

I just think it’s funny that Fred spent a lot of time trying to curate an interesting lineup from the depths of 20 years of Coachella lineups, and you’re giving Monie the nod because she booked MGMT and Broken Bells and you somehow haven’t seen them yet.
Also, kinda sounds like you’re defending yourself here....
