I've no idea where the sentiment comes from that Florence wouldn't be considered a headliner like... at all. Back in 2015 she was already headlining ACL and Lollapalooza (both times as a #3) and was #5 at Bonnaroo. She headlined Gov Ball just last year aswell? And Idk when it was necessary for artists to have a critically aclaimed album to headline festivals either? Also.. Metacritic, really?
In 2015 she was also at coachella... not headlining. And she has not become more popular since then. TBH I dont even think Coachella would see value in having her sub at this point.
Metacritic is a pretty straightforward measurement of critical acclaim. I’m using that to say its not even like you promoted Bon Iver or Solange or someone who’s actually really awesome but not headlining level. It’s just both a bland act and a non headliner in addition to Friday having two clear non headliners.

Its as close to a non opinion that you can get here though. There is evidence that critics have never been wild about Florence and the Machine. That Florence and the Machine has not headlined Coachella. And that Florence and the Machine’s output since the last time they didn’t headline Coachella has only been less popular than their music leading up to that non headlining booking.
Since you're the biggest Flo-fan on the board, you probably know better that her popularity has been on a massive decline since 2015 and that critics hate her (there's even evidence!). Excuse me.

It's a rather weak jab to discredit my line up but whatever. Posters and schedules speak for themselves.
Florence is great. All of her albums are good. Never gave a fuck about a critic. She might not be a headliner at Coachella but if you've ever seen one of her shows you know that she definitely is good enough to do it.

Cause you could technically see her as subbing for Sufjan within the schedule even though her set time is as long as his (first setence) but when you look at the poster (second sentence) she's just headlining next to him aswell, I don't get it.

I’m struggling to understand why Mumbros went undrafted but the knives are out for Jortles daring to suggest Florence is boring.
Alright, I'll bait. I think her music is great and her live performance is amazing and just like you, Jortles or anyone else I'm entitled to have a certain opinion and taste thanks.
The fact that you actually think I'm salty over Jortles pointing some shit out at me is hilarious. By winning last draft, I personally feel like my competitiveness has gone down a bit even though I like the match-ups more than the poll-system. I'm just having a good ol' time and most of the time just joking around. I don't get why you're getting so tacky at me tbh.

I don’t feel like I’m being much of an ass here, Bing . This is the final 4. All of the lineups are great. This organization and style of voting is better than usual because people can plead their cases and it encourages more people to explain their votes. Nobody was explaining their votes or saying much so I’m not just going to get eliminated before pointing out something that I view to be a glaring flaw in your lineup. Its not really supposed to be disrespectful. I already said I think you lineup is dope which was the equivalent of touching gloves at the beginning of a boxing match. If you win, I will give it up and congratulate you without being salty. But for now its time for me to begin explaining why I think I should get more votes than you. Thats all I’m doing here.

Florence is fine but if I’m traveling across the country, I want someone harder to see and that I like more. In the same breathe, like half of Jortles subs aren’t good.
Sorry but Beastie Boys doesn’t do anything for me. Kacey + Sufjan combined bigger than BB, and much more relevant.
Totally understand someone preferring those artists to BB, but they certainly aren’t more likely to headline coachella than Beastie Boys. Especially considering the dead factor.

i promise you if MCA never died and Beaties were doing a big comeback show at coachella, that is 10000x more relevant than a joint Kacey + Sufjan booking.
let's compare apples with apples and compare TWS with BB here. They're both our #1's and I think they're equal in terms of popularity/reunion factor but TWS > BB for me since I know them a lot better idk. Maybe I should put some BB on when I've some time.
