Bing vs Jortles: headliners: I think the legacy headliners are a bit of a wash here, both the White Stripes and Beastie Boys are great. Gorillaz are much better than Florence, I already went into thinking Florence isn't that good last round so I'll leave it at that. Between Lizzo and Kacey Suf, I'm going to basically call this a wash as well. I prefer Kacey/Suf, but theyre also not headliner level and I still enjoy Lizzo, who's a strong third headliner. I'd give Jortles the edge here because he has three legit headliners I like and I think Bing has one strong headliner. Second liners I enjoy: Feist, Twigs, QOTSA, Disclosure, Courtney Barnett vs Rufus, Phoenix, St Vincent, Jamie xx, Danny Brown. Bing gets the edge here, Feist, Twigs, QOTSA are all really great for me. Undercard stuff I like on both lineups (bolded stuff i really like): warpaint, dj Harvey, us girls, ellen allien, nathy peluso, savages, sigrid, regina spektor, Laurent garnier, john talabot, roni size, derrick may, vs four tet/daphni/floating points, two fingers, charlotte Gainsbourg, ben ufo, moscomann, preoccupations, john Hopkins channel tres, el p, dj premier, matthew dear, laura marling, dj shadow, gsybe, company flow, kim petras, ross from friends, brian Jonestown massacre, goat. Undercard goes to Jortles pretty easily.
Cdev vs Kim headliners: I think Cdev wins this one. The Cure and RATM >> NIN and Amy. Amy's music is pretty good but I feel like she's be kinda boring live in a headlining performance. The Cure and RATM are both legendarily good live and more rare than NIN who are also great. Lana Del Ray and Bon Iver I prefer over Tame Impala. Tame is fun but I think I'd be more interested in what Bon Iver and LDR decided to do with headlining performances, and I like their recent output better than Tame's. second liners I enjoy: Beck, raconteurs, king gizz, yeah yeah yeahs, rex orange county, underworld, Robyn, Sturgill, the dead weather vs arctic monkeys, rtj, khruangbin, Daniel Caesar,Wilco. This part easily goes to Cdev, cdevprobably has my favorite second lines of anyone. undercard stuff I like (boldeed stuff I really like): parvo stellar, and you will know us..., krs 1, ride, devo, brockhampton, shame, testpilot, nickel creek, rae sremm, devotchka, vs jungle, parquet courts, kelela, no age, chicano batman, ben howard, dino jr, tom misch, jose Gonzalez, klangstof, Stephen malkmus, solomun, jens lekman, desert sessions, ex hex, marcel dettmann, allah las
Gonna come back later and check the schedules for this one because it's really close, I like Cdev's big acts better, but much prefer Kim's undercard.
Time to break down my lineup vs Bing's. Bing: Feist, Warpaint, Tallest Man On EArth, Noname, US Girls, Nathy Peluso, Kamasi Washington, Caifanes, Savages, The Blaze, Jambinai, Courtney Barnett, Regina Spektor, Carly Rae Jepsen, Roni Size, Derrick May, DESPACIO

What about these names aswell?
I included most of these names? one thing I did forget again is Despacio because of where it is on you poster. I was trying to be more objective when comparing your lineup to mine so I included more acts that I think are good bookings but don't like that much personally. For example Caifanes I think is a cool booking, but I have literally never listened to a Caifanes song. In this matchup I felt better about being more biased towards my personal taste since I'm not involved. hope this helps.
A Beastie Boys reunion would be a much bigger deal than a White Stripes reunion.
This is kinda not a fair comparison because MCA is dead
i mean it's the same comparison that was made between Daft Punk and Prince. and regardless of whether MCA died or not, ever since the end of TWS you've been able to still get a taste of it with Jack tours almost every year. Even if Adam Yauch was alive, you can't really say the same thing about Beasties.

I think if Jack White came out and said "im playing exclusively White Stripes songs on my new tour" it would sell arenas.

you're not wrong but that doesn't change the fact that a Beasties reunion would be massive. even more so than the Rage, LCD, and GnR reunions of the past few years.

Beastie Boys could probably pull the OutKast level “headline literally everything” run. I like the White Stripes more but they were never as big even in their prime.

The White Stripes could do that run too. I just think Jack would be super picky about what he plays.

And instead of saying all of your goodbyes - let them know you realize that life goes fast - It's hard to make the good things last-you realize the sun doesn't go down - It's just an illusion caused by the world spinning round

I think both Cdev and I have awesome lineups. I'm the only fest where you can see Amy Winehouse, a reunited Rilo Kiley, hard to find Nine Inch Nails, reunited Jane's Addiction, and Sharon Jones. Cdev's got a lot of great stuff, but not much that you couldn't see come to your locals. That's what sets us apart in my eyes, but as always, YMMV.

I like Kim’s but I actively dislike Janes Addiction and Faith No More. SHM doesn’t do much for me (although they are probably the best cheese option), nor do GriZ and Khalid. The rest of the subs except RTJ are probably so-so to me. I think cdev has so-so subs as well but it is hard to beat Rage + The Cure. I do love Amy tho. I tho k the undercards are pretty similar.

i used to think i liked Faith No More bc Epic was on rockband, and when i was like 12 i played a ton of rockband. and then i listened to their other songs.

i played a gross amount of rock band when I was 8-10 and I loved that song but I listened recently and I can’t stand it
King for a Day is a great song, I like their version of Easy more than Commodores.
their live show is also great, my gf, not a fan/familiar with them (outside of knowing Epic from rock band), came away loving the show and said the stage was one of the most beautiful we'd seen.

the outro is still pretty great. but yeah overall they're just really not my thing.
