i used to think i liked Faith No More bc Epic was on rockband, and when i was like 12 i played a ton of rockband. and then i listened to their other songs.
i played a gross amount of rock band when I was 8-10 and I loved that song but I listened recently and I can’t stand it
I hope you're not just listening to Epic. That's like judging Radiohead only listening to Creep.
I'm going with Kim in the other matchup. I did both schedules and then just lost my post somehow and I don't want to retype the whole thing but basically Kim's last run on Sunday flipped it for him. Marcel Dettmann > Desert Sessions > Bon Iver > Wilco > Lana would be insane for me. Also two of my top three acts on Cdev's lineup (Underworld and RATM) are playing at the same time.
I’m totally biased as a huge faith no more fan but seeing them live is definitely the way to do it. Mike Patton just has that very rare indescribable quality on stage that just pulls you in and doesn’t let you go
And instead of saying all of your goodbyes - let them know you realize that life goes fast - It's hard to make the good things last-you realize the sun doesn't go down - It's just an illusion caused by the world spinning round
Considering you've found the need to respond to my threads as if you are threatened by me I offer you some peace my confused counterpart. May you find peace in your restless soul.

I mean ya, looking at each other's Yuma/bleep bloop line up's.. Jortles is a lil bit more alternative.
Despacio, Ellen Allien, George Fitzgerald, US Girls, Yelle, Derrick May, Ezra Collective, Aya Nakamura, Nathy Peluso r some great acts you'd probably like aswell.. And if you like Savages, I'd recommend Wolf Alice, The Regrettes and Amyl & The Sniffers. But on the top lines, I guess I'd never win a Twigs vs Gorillaz / Phoenix / St V ... so.
Bing Friday: girl in red > US Girls > Japanese Breakfast > Noname > Sufjan Stevens Jortles Friday: Little Brother > Cloud Nothings > Four Tet/Daphni/Floating Points > Charlotte Gainsbourg > Rufus Du Sol > Yaeji > Beasties
Bing Saturday: FKA Twigs > Florence Jortles Saturday: Health > EL P > St. Vincent > Jon Hopkins > Shpongle > Jamie XX
Bing Sunday: Calypso Rose > Fidlar > Regina Spektor > White Stripes Jortles Sunday: Jean Grae > Kim Petras > Danny Brown > GY!BE
cdev Friday: Murs f. 9th Wonder > KRS One > Gizz > The Raconteurs > Conor Oberst > Tame Impala Kim Friday: girl in red > Vic Mensa > A Tribe Called Red > Black Coffee > Arctic Monkeys > RtJ > Amy
cdev Saturday: Aesop Rock > Beats Antique > Gaslamp Killer w Thundercat > Sir Mix a Lot > Brockhampton > Ride > alt J > RATM Kim Saturday: The Polyphonic Spree > Django Django > Robert Delong > Tom Misch > NiN
cdev Sunday: Cloud Nothings > Soccer Mommy > Bone Thugs n Harmony > Sturgill > Robyn Kim Sunday: Little Brother > Bright Eyes > Bon Iver > Lana Del Rey
After reviewing the schedules, Jortles lineup goes far deeper for my tastes than Bing's, so I am switching my vote from Bing to Jortles. Cdev and Kim was still really close but Kim still edges it out for me.
Is that made in like stuff that'd be a 'must see' at a festival or just the general schedule you'd follow along each day? Cause, well idk. Seems kinda dry. I'd give you some recommends based on that but I guess you already made up your mind haha.
Chandler Friday: Ron Gallo > Warpaint > Japanease Breakfast > Ezra Collective > Kacey Musgraves > Wu Tang Clan > Sufjan Stevens (pretty great day here, I love the combination of Kacey and Sufjan. They're different but compliment each other well. It's not easy to pull off two co-headliners who look that sexy together. Being able to catch 45 minutes of Wu-Tang in between is pretty nice too.)
Saturday: The Regrettes > Kamasi Washington > FKA Twigs > Florence + The Machine (Pretty okay day here, I could probably use some recommendations. FKA Twigs would be the highlight of the day. This is one of those festival days where the music is good enough to be the backdrop of just hanging out with your friends. Like just chillin in a comfortable spot towards the back, beer in hand while Florence + The Machine plays.)
Sunday: Preservation Hall Jazz Band > Carly Rae Jepsen > Courtney Barnett > Queens of the Stone Age > Disclosure > The White Stripes (Pretty good day here, The White Stripes really make it more exciting. Wish it was also possible to catch Westside Gunn that day)
Jortles Friday: Preoccupations > Cloud Nothings > Four Tet / Daphni / Floating Points > The Roots > Rufus Du Sol > Yaeji > Beastie Boys (Some people have said Beastie Boys don't do much for them, well it's the opposite for me. Beastie Boys is like one of the funnest shows I'll never be able to go. Plus I have such a fun run of artists back to back before I even get to Beasties. But maybe Cloud Nothings doesn't need a 90 minute set, which is longer than you have The Roots playing for)
Saturday: PUP > GoGo Penguin > Bombino > Dialated Peoples > El P > St. Vincent > Gnarls Barkley > Phoenix > Jamie xx (Nonstop day of fun music, not sure if my legs could keep up. I don't even need to experience a headliner, St. Vincent > Gnarls Barkley > Phoenix > Jamie xx more than fills that hole for me. I don't think Ab Soul would use up a 90 minute slot though? I'll assume that's a typo.)
Sunday: Ross From Friends > Band of Horses > DJ Shadow > Danny Brown > Godspeed You! Black Emperor > Gorillaz (Pretty solid day, my enjoyment of Gorillaz would depend on the setlist/what guests they bring out but I'd definitely have a good time.)
So Chandler has 17 artists I'd see and Jortles has 22. Plus the artists Jortles has are much more exciting to me so honestly, it's not much of a competition.
Cdev Friday: Murs > Band of Skulls > KRS-One > Princess Nokia > King Gizzard > The Raconteurs > Tame Impala (Pretty great day for me as I'd still be really excited to see Tame Impala again. Having The Raconteurs and King Gizzard all on the same stage beforehand is pretty hot)
Saturday: FIDLAR > Sir Mix A Lot > BROCKHAMPTON > The Breeders > Rex Orange County > Yeah Yeah Yeahs > Rage Against The Machine (Huge gap after FIDLAR and seeing Sir Mix A Lot would basically be for the meme. But it gets much more exciting after that. Rex Orange County and Yeah Yeah Yeahs overlapping is rude. Rage Against The Machine vs Underworld is extremely rude. But Rage Against The Machine is an all time bucket list band for me)
Sunday: Cloud Nothings > Soccer Mommy > The Dillinger Escape Plan > Bone Thugs > Sturgill Simpson > Robyn > The Cure (Pretty much like all of the other days, starts off sort of weak but gets way more exciting at the end. This time from Sturgill up to The Cure. The Cure is also a bucket list band for me to see)
Kim Friday: Rolling Blackouts Coastal Fever > Chicano Batman > Khruangbin > Parquet Courts > Run the Jewels > Amy Winehouse (Pretty good day, might need some recommendations for artists before Khruangbin. I'm not the biggest Amy Winehouse fan because I never went that deep into her music. But the fact that it's impossible to see her in real life goes a long way)
Saturday: Best Coast > Dinosaur Jr. > Daniel Caesar > Jane's Addiction > Explosions in the Sky > Nine Inch Nails (Also a pretty good day, but I think I only listen to up to 5 songs from each of these artists. So there isn't one particular act I'd be really excited to see besides maybe Nine Inch Nails for the live show)
Sunday: The Front Bottoms > Best Coast (2nd set?) > Bon Iver > Wilco > Lana Del Rey (I love Bon Iver but this day is pretty rough for me. Lana seems like a sleepy way to end a three day music festival and I'm not really the biggest fan. I'd need some recommendations)
So Cdev has 21 artists I'd see and Kim has 17. Kind of like Jortles vs Chandler, not much of a competition here. I think Cdev's undercard could use some work but his headliners and subs make up for it in this round.
The Now Now takes up too much space now but they still open on M1A1 and bust out the occasional Some Kind of Nature or Latin Simone.
Also they were supposed to be on Kimmel last night but they pushed it until tonight so the could do the Fred Willard tribute and at the end Kimmel said “sorry to Matt Damon”.
