I'm glad I'm not alone in thinking that Sunday run at Mill & Mine is the only way to go. I need to look at this schedule soon and figure out what's what.

Sunday is pretty light but that’s not unusual. Any combination of Zorn, dePlume, Shauf, Bonnie Light Horseman and that M+M stuff is a winner in my book.

I think I've decided to let go of mssv. I'm not willing to miss any of Fennesz's set, so that means I'd likely be walking in to mssv's set 30 mins late. Think I'll just head directly to Low and hope I make it within a few mins of their start time.
And now... I give you my "ouch it hurts to miss" list: Angélica Negrón Attacca Quartet Bill Callahan Circuit Des Yeus Claire Rousay Craig Taborn Ellen Reid Soundwalk Ensemble Ken Vandermark Kronos Quartet Lisel mssv Nathalie Joachim Odean Pope & Immanuel Wilkens Preservation Hall Jazz Band Sparks

SO. If you download the Google schedule, you'll see they blocked off 4 "Secret Show" times. I think it's safe to say that Fennesz has a secret show on Saturday, and given the published times, that's likely to happen at 7 or 9pm. I *hope* it's 9pm, because the only thing that'll stop me from seeing Moses is David Sylvian. And I don't want to have to make that choice. I have family. They depend on me for food. This is not "game theory," this is real. May my chosen God show mercy on your schedule.
So does she get a special wristband or normal GA? I’d see if they’d upgrade, honestly.
I bought tickets to Le Guess Who? and booked a hotel this week. When Mrs. GL asked what kind of festival this was, I told her it’s like Big Ears Sr.
She hasn’t talked to me for 4 days and frankly, I’m kinda worried.
I think it's just a standard GA wristband, but she's the person to ask. She was kind of surprised in that she doesn't have any obligation for the festival. More of a thanks for making things that she's already put out in the world which is pretty cool.
Haha Mrs GL probably stopped trying to understand you a long time ago.
Oh yeah. We were down in the Old City yesterday for coffee and happened to walk by Pretentious Glass and Brewing. They had a sign up with their calendar for events on Big Ears weekend. alawre took a picture bc my phone camera takes forever to focus. For the non-drinkers, they have events for each day on both sides of the business. If you like glass making at all, it'll probably be worth checking out. It's in the radius of the festival so no side trip needed even.

Did we end up settling on Sunday morning/afternoon for the unofficial Inforoo brunch/meetup? Considering I'd like to get to Perich/McVinnie and Lattimore/Tyler early on Friday and Saturday, that's what would work best for me

I think the place marcoolio suggested was closed on Sunday. I’m down for that day but we’ll have to find one open.

Hey gang,
We're putting together the enormous guide that we do every year for the local independent paper here and while we have seven people working on it now, there's just no way to get to everything with this lineup.
I'm thinking about breaking it up in to genre a bit but I'm open to suggestions and also I'm open to anyone who would like to contribute. I can put together a list of what we have covered thus far if anyone is interested. Basically, we just need a paragraph or two about each act we're talking about OR a genre piece that mentions several acts within the course of a handful of graphs.
Really looking forward to this. This year is a beast.
