New names tomorrow, right? I’m excited to see what they’re gonna announce.
No news on time but I’d expect before noon.
I’m still in the camp that Patti will be the biggest name. If I’m not mistaken, both This Is Not This Heat and FIRE! were additions last go-round so I’m eager to say the least.
Glad to see both Ben Lamar Gay and Marisa Anderson/William Tyler on here. Had tickets to see Yasmin Williams in a few weeks but that got cancelled. I guess I know why now.
E: Totally skipped over Claire Rousay. A bit more excited.

Very stoked for patti smith, who else besides the ones you mentioned are you familiar with? Adding any to the playlist would really help a playa out

This is excellent. Words and Music is her "Springsteen on Broadway" and she's only performed it a few times. I saw Mind Maintenance open for Big Thief last month and they were stunning, but the crowd didn't really click, I'd be happy to see them in a more receptive room. Skipped Yasmin in Cincy last week because there was no vax/test requirement at the venue, so that's a very welcome pickup too, and Claire Rousay is fantastic.

I’ve seen Vandermark a ton in various incarnations. My favorite was The Vandermark 5 where he took on new interpretations of free jazz classics. Ensemble Dal Niente is a newer ensemble that I know nothing about.
Odean Pope and Immanuel Wilkins are names I know from being sidemen vs actual compositions. Odeon has worked with James Brown and Stevie Wonder while Wilkins has done Solange. I’m guessing this will be more jazz oriented though.
Mind Maintenance dropped a decent album this year on Drag City. It’s Joshua Abrams and Chad Taylor from Chicago Underground Duo. It’s folky. It’s weird. It’s fun.
Obviously you know Patti and Medeski. I’ll update tonight when I get home.

Kinda curious about that Attacca Quartet performance.

Saturday daily.
Just doing some process of elimination from the listed collaborators, at the very least the JMW Turner and Heaven & Earth Magick will be on Sunday. Songs for Petra Hayden on Saturday for sure.
That Yves closing set is gonna be awesome. Fingers crossed that’s at the Mill and Mine. Crossing fingers on the other hand that he doesn’t cancel again.

Last night's Instagram post has Mdou Moctar closing Mill & Mine on Friday, which I would've expected for AnCo? Antsy to see how these schedules shake out. Edit: more Instagram confirmations: Sparks, Kim Gordon, Arooj Aftab, Moses Sumney all at the Tennessee. So for Friday, this means Kim Gordon, Arooj Aftab, and presumably Patti Smith at the Tennessee. Sons of Kemet at the Bijou? That's gonna be a clusterfuck.
It’s pointing that direction. I was hoping it would be AC but this makes sense for SoK.
On a positive, if they follow the formula then Low is closing out the M+M on Thursday.
AC now at Mill and Mine as well, we'll see how everything shuffles together, I guess. Medeski solo at St. John's and both of his Zorn sets (Chaos Magick and Simulacrum) at the Bijou.

I’m crossing fingers they add Sons of Kemet to make a 4 band bill at Tennessee.
When they start teasing venues though, we’re close to a schedule drop.
