Delicious Meatball Sub obviously you're not gonna vote against your own, but got any notes about ours?
Sure sorry. I liked the headliners, although bringing Stevie back doesn’t necessarily have a lot of appeal to me, even if it was a long time ago. My big critique of your lineup is there weren’t a ton of women on it, especially for a lineup with Beyoncé #1. Could have worked in more pop or female led r&b. Friday has 2 in the top 20. That said I really wanted Caroline Rose and was annoyed when you sniped them

I agree about the women, when I looked over it again at the start of the voting I realized that it felt very male dominated. Though isn't it a bit of a running joke roo doesn't book women?

Our schedule changes:
- Iggy Pop is now playing the Which right before Cardi, replacing Future Islands who were called out for being too small. And everyone hated that Iggy spot, which was fair.
- Future Islands is now on the Which before Interpol on Sunday, setting up a Future Islands>Interpol>The Cure run. Trying to address complaints about support for the Cure on Sunday.
- Christine is still Which, but she's Saturday now.
- Lil Yachty is staying put. He was put there to give the younger crowd a primetime show. We figure there will be camping between Sturgill and Stones no matter who we put there.

it's sorta tough for me since I generally don't listen to pop or r&b outside the super well known stuff, so any women in those genres I know are generally in that headliner/sub level. Hell I only ever found out about Kali Uchis mid-draft. 3 of our top 9 are women, which is tied for the most of anyone except Rummy and Bing. As far as I know, we booked more female DJs than anyone, though I'm not about to fact check that claim. Also, not sure where you got 2 of 20 on Friday, it's definitely 4, and 5 of 21 lol (6 if you include Vampire Weekend). I know that's not exactly ideal, and it's an admitted blind spot I have. Plus I made sure to grab stuff like The Distillers, Lake Street Dive, Royal and the Serpent, Mulatto, etc. I get it though, and will make sure to do better next draft.
Re: representation, tried to get a fair amount, but was sort of disappointed by the overall numbers. I think the exclusivity makes it sort of hard for everyone to get even #s without having to make too many reaches due to lack of "big" female artists that aren't high names on posters because of the way the industry works. Dacus, Miktski for instance always seem so low on lineups despite being great critically acclaimed acts.
Like the draft where Sang went all in and Bing pivoted to trying to catch him it was harder to keep up.
And lots of things went right before or after picks we made (RummaBing got a handful).
tbf we were a higher seed, and I was worried at a certain point when i think it tied last night.
I think to some degree it's reassuring that it went chalk in that people weren't being wildly different between seeding/first round. Obviously more room for upsets with people losing the teams they were voting for.
Random thing I’ve noticed but it seemed like people have mentioned Wand being too big for Thursday, they have less Spotify listeners than Ezra Collective, The Regrettes, 99 Neighbors, The Funk Hunters, Dabin, etc, who were all booked to play Thursday in 2020 on the actual Bonnaroo lineup.

I think most people say that because they know that act and think that it's too big or something. Wand is fine for Thu IMO.

i don’t think they’re too big, just too old now
makes sense. I’d say they’re pretty reinvented since 2017 or so b it that makes more sense at least.

As T just posited, yeah my critique of them for Thurs is how long they’ve been around, not their size.
Considering you've found the need to respond to my threads as if you are threatened by me I offer you some peace my confused counterpart. May you find peace in your restless soul.

Last year's Wand album is their best one so I consider them "rising" lol. Speaking of, since I fell asleep and missed this below at Desert Daze our schedule has the closest alternative: Wand closing a Thursday tent and Mattson 2 opening a Friday tent
Also Chaz from Toro y Moi might stop by and play with Mattson 2 since he'll be there that day to watch Devo anyways
