Right but this is what was proposed- that a group which loses a member after the cut off date, and has no activity after losing that member should be eligible.
But they finished the album after he died, right?
Nope. It came out in 2011 and he died a year later.

I know we ask this every draft, but I think the idea of "zombie" makes this one even more clear than infinity.
Whoever has the beatles has the beatles returning to life to perform, therefore I think they should be expected to play everything. Not just the setlists that they played when alive, which mostly consisted of pre drugs songs.
What’s the rule for an act where a key member died and then was replaced and the act kept performing under the same name?
Not eligible.
I guess that makes sense. Whoever snagged the original WSMFP lineup would have been the automatic winner. Gotta make things more interesting than that.

Then we need a cutoff for when this situation is applicable.
Honestly, I think the way to handle these is if you think that they should be eligible but they don't fit within the constructs of the rules, make the selection, please your case, and let a poll decide.

This is probably fine. I don't think there will be that many situations that come up, to be honest.

Yeah. I think we should be able to figure out the exceptions.
i think theres a clear top 4 here and jimi isnt in it, but still cant call that a bad pick by any means
With this being called a zombie draft, I wanted to make sure I had a clean death. No iterations of anything still existing or primary members breathing. Just didn't feel right taking living people with my first. Not that that is in the rules or anything but just the way I want to roll with the theme of this draft.
