Urgh I'm terrible at embedding links, but the above link to a recent update John D (Bamboozle's organizer) made to Facebook. Basically he sounds extremely salty about When We Were Young stealing Bamboozle's thunder haha
But I am optimistic that he says they already booked 3 reunions, and are working on a fourth. Who we thinking? Midtown? The Academy Is? Something Corporate?
He also says the lineup will resemble their previous lineups from 2010-2012. So looking back at those, it was certainly a mix of good and bad lol.

Bamboozle Festival meet Clown Arthur, he will be joining Boozle and his brother as part of the new Bamboozle clown crew. Boozle, our legendary clown supreme, rescued Clown Arthur and his brother while he was left under a mysterious boardwalk in Asbury Park, NJ in 2012. The clowns somehow found each other and for the past 9 years have played a huge part in the revival of the festival so many came to love.
NFT ticketing will be the platform the festival uses for ticketing. Through this platform, fans will find low ticket prices and most importantly - reduced ticketing fees. NFT's will allow us to send our fans digital and handcrafted artwork, daily lineups, set times and so much more we are so excited to share with all of you. The NFT's will also offer "easter eggs" and some great games for all the fans to have fun with.
I know NFT ticketing will be new to most of you, but the experience and process will be NO different than any current ticket companies employ. The future of ticketing is in NFT, not TicketMaster or any major ticketing company. NFT's allow us to engage and be closer to our fans, and their experiences.
Fans who purchase Tier 1 tickets will be the first to meet Clown Arthur's brother, as he will be flying in with our new logo and a special message from Bamboozle.
Bamboozle 3 day weekend passes will begin at $346.90, including all taxes and fees. Prices will jump at phase 2 and 3 of our lineup announcement. I do not believe in jumping prices without reason, so as we add more bands, the prices will jump up. We will also offer SINGLE DAY tickets, but they will not be available until after phase 3 announcement.
The clowns are soooooo excited to reveal our lineup. We invited sooo many friends and new friends, it's gonna be a huge hug fest!
Lastly, I am not gonna use a PR Firm for Bamboozle's announcement.
I'm gonna take the $2,500.00 we would get charged by a PR company - and give that money to fans who promote and work the Bamboozle Festivals first announce via their socials, family, friend, media contacts and any unique marketing strategies the fans will create.
Fans will get paid via Bamboozle Bucks, which they can use to buy tickets, merch and/or food.
Stay tuned. We are going to drop our amazing new website. It's not gonna be anything like the generic garbage area festivals use. We gonna turn back the clock and fucking blow peoples minds. Myspace will become Ourspace!

The price point isnt insane for tier one. $350 for a 3 day is fair. But the rest is bullshit. Like I get trying to avoid using a big ticketing agent but theres other companies who can deal with this and theyve had 3 years to figure it out.
how did they let adjacent festival steal their thunder?
My friend who works in the booking world in NJ says most of the former Bamboozle folks are who actually made it happen are working on Adjacent and that John is roundly hated by area promoters and venue owners due to his poor reputation/behavior.
I think this is less a case of a promising fest revival getting undercut by LiveNation than it is a woefully underprepared and egocentric IP holder (ala Woodstock 50) getting in over their head.

So whats missing if this is Phase 1 . Headliners cant have been in there.

On one of John D's posts, he said something about Bamboozle having 9 headliners while Adjacent has 2. That makes me think this will be more like So What Music Festival in Texas than When We Were Young.

You still need to have 3 major names on there and then 2 other ''headliners'' on 2 other stages on a respective day.. Lolla has 8 headliners so its no different. Gonna go with MCR, Halsey and MGK being at the top.

Would it surprise me that they made this purposefully shitty so that whatever comes next will look way better? No. But it also wouldnt surprise me that it stays at this level of mid. They had 3 years and a huge head start cause of when it was gonna happen and poof.

It doesn't surprise me that this is mid. I expect it to be on the same level as So What Music Festival in Texas. Their headliners were basically club-level headliners but there were more of them. Quantity > Quality
EDIT: John D's post on his PERSONAL IG said headliners coming in phase 2 & 3. Phase 2 drops next month & Phase 3 in January.
