Fantastic for those going M-W! Sad for me and other weekend people!
Him being on M-F should not technically have any impact on your ability to enjoy the weekend sets. That said, I completely understand FOMO and have my own FOMO for Lucy, Margo, Randy, and Andrew Bird being booked over the weekend.
It’s great to see the caliber of acts that Newport is booking for this. There will almost definitely be a weekend equivalent to Beck, whether it be something like Jack White, My Morning Jacket, Monsters of Folk, Bright Eyes, or someone even bigger like Chris Stapleton or Stevie Nicks.
I’ve been quick to doubt Newport in the past and they always prove me wrong. So I’ve stopped doing it, lol.

Based on what we know so far, what are the chances that The National / Big Red Machine / Taylor Swift make an appearance? I ruled them out because they have no other shows planned for the year, but neither does Beck and he just announced his NFF appearance.

I assume Beck is coming solo. Not sure he’s bringing his whole band.

In that sense, I guess what I’m really hoping for is that The National will bring their band and invite Justin and Taylor 🙌🏼

Taylor Swift is the least likely. Like mayyyyyybe a surprise guest song with someone but even that’s a huge long shot. She’s barely ever played any festivals (and the ones she has are huge) so booking her for a set would be honestly the biggest booking NFF has ever had.
The National/BRM don’t seem likely, and Jay made a comment on Aaron Dessner’s IG which seemed like NFF didn’t have him presently booked in any format. But there’s always a chance i suppose.
Well, I did a dumb thing. Returned my 2 weekday tickets a few weeks back due to logistics. But these recent announcements put me over the edge and I requested a ticket to go solo haha. I’ve never been in the Lyte line before, do you know how you find out where you are in line? And do you think I’ll end up getting the ticket?

In the past you could see your spot in the queue, but from what I heard that feature disappeared this year. Always liked that because I could gauge how likely I was to get a ticket.
Based on Celisse’s comment on Jay’s insta, looks like she’ll be a weekend act. Maybe a quick stopover for Trey during the weekend ahead of tour later that week.

Ahh that’s good to know, that’s a bummer they stopped doing that. I think I’ll book a place and just keep my fingers crossed that a ticket comes my way
