So with Allison Russell confirming and Allison having Brandi on Kimmel with her I assume we can expect this. Also, Brittany Spencer covered Highwomen's 'Crowded Table'.
I don't have Apple TV but this documentary looks great. It argues that 1971 was the greatest year of music. Looked up this list of songs from that year. It's mind blowing that all those great songs were from the same year.

Dawes is covering Sabbath’s “Paranoid” at Fred Fest in August. Think we might get anything like this at Newport? Maybe one event can get a Deervana set and the other a Dawesabbath set.

i would do literally anything in my power to avoid hearing Dawes cover Sabbath.

Big Dawes fan.
But, saw that post about them coving Sabbath and immediately thought they were joking.
For anyone interested in the jazz fest and who they might add to the lineup, I asked them about Nubya Garcia and they responded saying they couldn't book any overseas artists this year and will hopefully have big London representation in '22

Is it just Jazz that couldn’t do that? Because Emma Swift says she is playing NFF. Pretty sure she is from Australia.
Nevermind - she is Nashville apparently with Robyn.

Yeah I assumed that was why Comet is Coming was not on this years lineup (from last year)

I'm assuming it's both fests unfortunately, but Folk doesn't ever pull in too much international stuff. Yola's confirmed (and I assume US-based at this point). It probably means no Sampa the Great but I was expecting that. I think everyone else from last year's lineup is North American. I'm just hoping it's because of the timing and small scale of Newport and doesn't also affect bonnaroo.
