Took me a while to process everything I wanted to.
1. JPEGMAFIA - LP! (Offline Version) 2. Remi Wolf - Juno 3. Little Simz - Sometimes I Might Be Introvert 4. Spellling - The Turning Wheel 5. Low - Hey What 6. Purple Disco Machine - Exotica 7. Magdalena Bay - Mecurial World 8. Tyler, the Creator - Call Me If You Get Lost 9. St. Vincent - Daddy's Home 10. Tkay Maidza - Last Year Was Weird Vol. 3
HM: Blu - The Color Blu(e); death's dynamic shroud - Faith in Persona; Black Country, New Road - For the First Time
The JPEGMAFIA album, specifically the Offline version, is probably going to become one of my favorite hiphop albums ever. I would say that with less hesitation if he was a more charismatic rapper. The production is in a class of it's own, and I don't mean that to say it's better than anything I've ever heard, but it sounds so like it's own thing. I don't believe I can go anywhere else for this sound / feeling. Or I can't go anywhere better for it. That's the way I feel about ATLiens, Get Rich or Die Trying, Hell Hath No Fury, Thug Motivation 101, 2001, Graduation, Midnight Marauders, Blueprint, Aquemini, etc. I'm already doing weird things like trying to trim it down in playlists to make it a hypothetical perfect album. I do that like once a year with some of the other albums I mentioned. There are 3 songs I would remove and unfortunately they are in the front half. They aren't bad, but just if I was trying to make it perfect. The only downside for me is I view Peggy as just a passable emcee. He doesn't make me instinctively want to rap along with the songs, which for me is a good sign that someone is a great rapper. He does match the energy of the beats well and I just get lost in the production and that's the way I enjoy this album. I have 11 songs on here that I would consider to be 8/10 or better.
