Everybody’s already pointed out all the other cool things on here but I just wanted to give a shout out to this festival for Chicago’s own Hiroko Yamamura.
edit: actually okay I’m still not over the weirdness of seeing India Jordan and Volvox next to each other on an Okeechobee lineup so yeah I’m going to reiterate that too.
Good enough to peak my interest but until daily lineup drops idk. Seeing Tame , Four Tet, and Caribou make me think. Undercard is decent. Love to finally see Smino. Wish that Rezz or griz wasnt there and we had another band. Solid lineup. Better than I thought they’d do.

The problem with this fest is that all the other bands are extremely forgettable.
Yeah, there’s definitely an inverse Inforoo demographic that’s really excited about Tai Verdes and Gus Dapperton and doesn’t know anything about any of the DJs here.
Sven Vath, DJ Harvey, Gerd Janson, Nastia, India Jordan, Volvox, DJ Minx, Hiroko Yamamura, that's fucking crazy. probably some i'm missing to but what a fun bunch of techno/house DJs. this is the kind of low hanging talent i wish bonnaroo would pick. great DJs that aren't super expensive (sven vath might be somewhat expensive not sure).

The lineup doesn’t appear to be as diverse as it has been in the past. It’s not that the EDM isn’t diverse, but that’s now > 85% of the lineup. They usually do some adds, so maybe it will balance out with more bands and rappers. I like the lineup and could have fun if it was closer. But it’s not worth the 11 hour drive to me.
Ok so now I had time to process after initially screaming about Tame (YAY), I overall am feeling kind of underwhelmed. Porter as #2 is odd and Rezz being up there feels weird too. Very VERY happy for FlyLo, Denzel, Glitch Mob, and Troyboi. It is definitely missing... something. Maybe this will come when more artists are added. All in all though this doesn't feel like a $340 ticket price
I’d love for a MMJ , St Vincent , or The Black Pumas as some adds. Even Modest Mouse and PTM would be sick. Idk if RTJ are too big of an add but they’d get me other the edge. But idk if we will get adds that big. Daily lineups will def help figure out if we will go to this or nah
i’ve been following Denzel Curry since raider klvn was a thing and im so fucking happy to see hes at sub status now. i know he has the boost due to it being in fl but still
