Tame Impala Griz Kid Cudi Billie Eilish Brockhampton
Personally I'd like for Flume to come back. Also Glass Animals but I think it's too soon.
Bassnectar has proven to be a piece of garbage so they will need to fill that electronic headliner gap. (Is Griz big enough? Skrillex? Pretty Lights return from retirement?)
Bassnectar was every year, no? I think if they wanted to replace with another perennial electronic act they wouldn't care if they were a recent booking or not

Billies tour routing is pretty perfect for this, also Tames rescheduled dates canceled the Florida show so I think there’s a good chance for them. When I worked for the fest the first year with Soundslinger they were one of the most requested artists so it makes sense. Tipper might be out because I think he’s doing his own thing at Suwannee, but Griz will be in 100% since he’s taken over the Bassnectar role, I wouldn’t be surprised to see them be the first to elevate him to headliner status with him selling out all his curated fests instantly. I’m not thrilled about the Insomniac team booking but they did ok in 19 with Vampire weekend, Bob Moses, Lucy Dacuas, Ghostland Observ etc. It was weird going to the fest with things fine and then coming home to COVID and the world changed lol brought a new meaning to “enter the portal.”
Looks like Clozee's confirmed-ish, she posted on her IG story basically hinting.
Also I see that there are 2 threads for this. I didn't notice people were using last year's. If people want to keep using that one I can delete this one, I don't mind.
2022 will hopefully be my first Okee and curious when tickets usually go on sale
I went the first two years. Def curious to this lineup since Roo got cancelled. The come close to the mixture of indie , edm and hip hop. I just want to see Tame in a field so hoping Okee don’t let me down

I know everyones taste is different but Okees lineup always speaks to me. I'd love to see Tame either at Okee or Roo.

You lean more electronic music correct ? I’d love for Tipper to come back. Clozee would be cool too for bigger name peeps

I lean electronic for sure, I had never heard Clozee until I went to Hijinx in 2019 and OMG...been so in love ever since. I also really enjoy jam bands and 60's/70's rock (try and see those bands/artists when I can)
Per the Reddit thread, one of the FL promoters for insomniac said that there will be announcement next week for Okeechobee and Countdown the weekends after. Countdown is an NYE festival they’re bringing to the grounds.
One of the talent buyers replied to Tame Impala comment suggestion on their insta post! So fingers crossed to see what’s in store!
My excitement has dimmed a little after having a moment to truly evaluate, but overall I'm pretty happy with this. A couple of initial thoughts:
Over the moon we are getting Caribou AND Four Tet. Hopefully the trend of booking more diverse electronic continues in future years
The first two lines feel pretty weak. Wondering if they blew a large portion of their budget on Tame?
Really thought Billie was a lock for this based off her tour schedule & their target demo. Megan is cool though
Pretty surprised to see Ashnikko billed that high. Excited to see her but I did not think she would be a second line name
Honestly haven't heard of any artist on the last 5 lines. Also feels like it's missing a couple jam bands & a rapper
I'll agree with gocats that Porter as the #2 overall is a little uninspiring. Love Porter & will be at that set but I was not expecting him as a headliner
Definitely some acts that I will be skipping, but Okee is similar to Roo in that the genre diversity provides plenty of options.
